Pregnant with 3rd but no symptoms

I think I am probably getting a bit ahead of myself and doing that thing mum's and pregnant people do which is go into worry overdrive, but I have recently discovered that I am pregnant with our 3rd child [unplanned] and with the other 2 I had severe symptoms from day 1 but with this one so far apart from a missed period and a little bit of tiredness [which i put down to having a 3 yr old and 18mth old who don't sleep at night, followed by a flu bug]. I am concerned about the lack of symptoms this time and as I am only 6 weeks [v early days i know] realise that they may kick in at any point or indeed never. But I am worried something is wrong this time. Has anyone else ever had a symptom free pregnancy when they had sever symptoms previously? I guess I am just looking for some reassurance really that all is well. I haven't had any bleeding or anything and really should just enjoy feeling well I suppose for as long as it lasts!

I remember asking my friend this when I was 5 and a half weeks. She said 'wait till next week!' and she was right

Hopefully everything is fine. It is normal to worry...that's a symptom in itself, you might say!

I'm feeling exactly the same, with previous pregnancies i've had really bad sickness from day one, but this time I don't feel bad at all. I've had two early MC and had no pregnancy symptoms leading up to them so that is causing me to worry more. I'm about 6+5wks and would have thought I would be suffering big time by now. I want to feel sick

Oh spottysox I am so sorry to hear of your early m/c's !! I have been fortunate enough so far to have escaped that torture but it has happened to so many of my friends and more than once, even ones that have had previously healthy pregnancies. I too am quite worried that this time all may not be well because I feel so different, but I wonder if part of it is denial as I really had promised myself I was stopping at 2 and was convinced I would never do pregnancy/labour again as both were horrendous both times! But like you I took comfort previously in knowing that although the sickness was vile amd prolonged at least it likely indicated a strong pregnancy. THis time I'm not sure, and concerned!

Hi Gilpy, I could have written your post 25 weeks ago!

I am now 30 weeks pregnant with DC3, and having had horrendous MS with the other two from the minute I got my BFP was very worried all was not well due to lack of symptoms.

I too just felt tired to start with and kept waiting for the MS to kick in, it never did!

Just had very sore boobs but that was not until about 9 weeks!

They do say every pregnancy is different, but if you are concerned maybe see if you can have an early scan?

Congrats and Best wishes x

Morethemerrier, I think I would quite like your 3rd pregnancy please!
My first two were horrific in terms of sickness.
OP and Gilpy, I really hope you both start to have some symptoms soon - not terrible but just a little bit to know that all is well x

Flightattendant · 04/03/2010 06:59

Sorry, I got that wrong - Gilpy is OP (I am tired)

Hi Flight! Got away with MS this time, but suffered with very bad SPD again from about 12 weeks!

Think I would have preferred the MS as it does not last the whole pregnancy (well for me anyway!)

Also, I ate my way through the first few months in readiness for the puckarama to start, now left with a bit of 'extra baggage' that I could have done without lol!

Gilpy and spottysox hope you have your head down the toilet as we speak! (in the nicest possible way of course!)

Flightattendant · 04/03/2010 09:53

Oh gosh sorry about the SPD, that's vile isn't it.

If you can think of anything you did differently this time though, I'd be interested to know...if I could manage a sickness free pregnancy I would probably have about 7 more children

Hi I am around 5 weeks pregnant (5 wks 3 days according to my app) this is my 3rd pregnancy and I feel soooo different! My eldest is 13 so I can’t remember that pregnancy all too well, but my youngest one is 3 in April and I remember that one for sure!
My boobs would hurt going over bumps in the car, I felt nauseous etc where as this time nothing, I’ve had cramping and my boobs are slightly sore but I can still lay on my front. I don’t need the toilet as much as last time either! I compared my pregnancy tests (I had a picture of the one from my last daughter) to this one and that line was so strong is was stronger than the control line but this time it doesn’t seem as strong!
We have planned this baby, the last two were beautiful surprises but I just can’t help but feel like there’s something wrong. It’s making my anxiety really bad and I keep wasting money on Tests to make sure! Please someone tell me they have experienced something similar 🥺I haven’t had any bleeding so that’s good but just panicking myself. Thank you xx
