Hello all

Just got back from hospital, all is good for now, saw the little baby with a tiny heart beat

They couldn't see any reason for the bleeding, but it has turned dark brown now like end of a period (was trying to explain the varying stages of the bleeding to a poor male doctor who saw me before hand when my only frame of reference is a period).

Have taken the rest of the day off work as I am exhausted, but relieved. Assume I'm not out of the woods yet though.

How fantastic, delighted for you.

Kayzr · 09/02/2010 09:48

That is great news, hope the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly.

ladyjadey · 09/02/2010 09:59

wonderful news, try not to worry quite so much and take it easy! If you're tired, rest. Listen to your body, you will feel much better.....and if the dishes don't get done, sod it!

Buda · 09/02/2010 11:41

Great news!

largeginandtonic · 09/02/2010 11:55

So pleased for you Bumper Hope everything settles down so you can stop worrying and enjoy the next few months!

pixiestix · 09/02/2010 13:12

Thats fab news Bumper!! And once you see a heartbeat the chances of a MC drop to around 4% so you may well be "out of the woods"!

SmilerJane · 09/02/2010 13:16

he was saying hi to my belly today which nearlly made me want to cry lol

Positive thoughts everyone hey

ShowOfHands · 09/02/2010 13:16

Brill news. Now you've seen a hb, chances of anything untoward happening are slim. I think you can relax a little bit!

Some women bleed in pregnancy and never know why. 40% of women having healthy pregnancies bleed in the first trimester, so not that far off half of all women and while it's not 'normal' it's very common.

Hi

I Just wanted to reassure you. Im now 12 week pregnant and at 9 weeks i had some piny brown discharge - i got myself straight to the Gp, who refered me for an early scan at EPU- mainly as i have suffered a missed miscarriage last year, that started with brown spotting but eventually turned red, but never heavy. that was a werid scan -a scan on a stick! horrible!

this time- i went for early scan - the normal way on top of tummy- and baby was fine- - sometimes bleeding or discharge can happen for so many reasons and you can feel so stressed with all the reading you do.

I think take a few days off wrk and relax as well as go Gp and demand an early scan to put your mind at ease for the moment - - with me it did put my mind at rest BUT i was stressed till the 12 week scan!!!

but do rest a little and if dr dont refer you - to to A and E- just exaggerate your symptpms a little and get seen- - other wise they just take the mic and send you home and say - monitor the loss!!!

if they ask how many pads you changeing- mak it up - all for the sake of being seen really- i dont like lying but its the only way to get seen sometimes. I wish you all the best and send positive vibes- tho im not ful of too many myself at the moment! take care

Jules80 · 09/02/2010 15:01

oh sorry bumper - i only just saw youd been for your scan - - congrats!!and my advice was a little late!

I hope your mind is at ease now!!!

But lets not hope this happens again but if it does dont wit round- just go a an e!

sorry!

now you wait for 12 week scan- relax. and good luck x x x

Hi Bumper, glad to see everything is ok, hope you can relax a little now.

Bumperlicious · 11/02/2010 20:03

Thanks all, still a bit of spotting, but hopefully still ok. See doctor on Monday so hopefully will check for a heart beat again.
