I don't know where to put this question if anyone can think of a better topic please advise me, thanks. I know no-one can make a decision for me but I really need to clear my head. my husband is 46 and I 45, we have a lovely 5 year old boy. We had an failed pregnancy 2 years ago, which was devastating, but decided against trying again and just to make the most of our little family as it is. We even got a dog. We have been discussing vasectomy lately as we both agreed our breeding days were over. Deep down, I've such regret our second child didn't happen and have an awful fear of losing my one and only, although I don't believe I dwell on this. We had an accident this morning and I'm just past mid cycle, we decided not to take the morning after pill and leave it to fate. The trouble is I'm not young and I haven't been taking folic acid, I'm healthy (apart from some IBS) and do lots of yoga and only have a drink very occasionally. Although we're not rich we could manage a second child and are not dependant on my income. Oh dear, to take the morning after pill or leave it to fate...I'm so confused

Leave it to fate and go to the chemist and buy some folic acid!

AS you know, being realistic, the chances of a successful pregnancy are not high, but also it's not unknown for women in their mid forties to have a baby.

Good luck.
