Ages gaps between children?

Just wondered what the age difference was between children for those of you on your second and third children?

DD is 14 months and I'm my biological urges are re-awakening as I'm getting ridiculously broody. Don't think I'll start till the new year as want to do it as carefully as I did the first time (folic acid and vits a few months before, coming off pill to get to know cycles etc)

I don't want any less that a 2 year gap just but there's a 4 year gap between me and my brother so don't want to leave it too long as we're not all that close now.

14 months between my two DS's and it has been fantastic they share friends and interests even though they are 16 and nearly 15 now.

18 months and 2.5 years, both are great gaps, although 18 months was slightly easier in most ways.

I'm a big fan of larger age gaps. I have exactly 24 months between DS and DD1 then 6 years between DD1 and DD2 and now 6 yars later I am pregnant with DC4!

DS will be 14 and DDs will be 12 and 6 when this one is born.

I found a 2 year gap very difficult, I really struggled with 2 little ones but I was only 18 and single so maybe that had something to do with it!

I met my DH and we had DD2 and having the 6 year gap was amazing, the others helped out and there was no jealousy at all, plus I had all day to spend with dd2.

Now I am pregnant again, both my DDs are over the moon but DS is not amused.... saying that, he's not amused by much so hopefully he will come round!

The age gap between mine are 12 and 8 years (will be almost 9) when this one comes. maitri My eldest son freaked too when I told him, he is calming down, but really cross it wont be the 4 of us anymore! He cant believe we did 'the thing'! And says when I get fat he dosnt want me to go into his school......charming!

DD is 10. Ds is 6mths. They love each other. Everyone kept telling us DD would be jealous but thats not happened at all. It could change of course . Age gaps can't always be planned.

My DSis is 2.5yrs older than me and we are not close in the slightest. So I agree its personality that dictates closeness rather than age.

Also my DD came home from school after announcing her mum was expecting and told me every one said "ewww, your mum and dad have been doing it". So not only did we disgust DD but her entire class

I am just about to have number 4.. (39 wks) and my eldest has just turned 5!!! I have 18 mths between 1 and 2, 18 mths between 2 and 3 and this will be a bang on 2 year gap.. Gosh, reading it I can't believe I'm mad enough to do it!! They are close but fight horrendously. I have come to the conclusion that 3.5 years would be perfect. Shame I didnt manage it.

There will be just over 4 years between my daughter and our new baby due may 2010.

My partner has a son from a previous relationship and there is nearly 16 years between him and our daughter and there will be 20 years between him and new baby (wink)

3 years here, thought we would have wanted a smaller gap but when I went back to work I changed my mind! DC1 is a poor sleeper so that had an impact on the decision. It's turned out to be a nice gap though, DC1 out of nappies and getting some free nursery sessions while I'm on maternity leave with DC2.

ds 3 and 9 mths
dd 3 mths
so 3 and a half worked perfect for us so far ds adores dd and is old enough to understand sharing mummy. Only a single buggy, ds is also old enough to help, if dd is crying he will go and talk to her or rock her. Also I get a break in the mornings when ds is in school.

Claire2009 that is freaky as my first 2 are

18/03/05 and
18/07/06

16 months to the day!!

then had dd2 on 02/05/08

Probably doesn't help the op as less than 2 years between them all.
