Bubs due date after miscarriage no in between period

Ok am here seeking advice on dates etc and i have no idea when i ovulated last month but i am pregnant now. So please can someone help me.......

Last actual period was 27th Feb and i MC on 17th April the scan showed i was a maximum of 5 1/2 weeks as scan only showed sac. I had been bleeding since the first BFP on 26th March and this got heavier and more red on 16th April.

I did a HPT last Weds got a BFP, and another one yesterday another BFP this time faster to show up and alot darker than last weeks test! (both tests done midday not first pee of day)

Been having pregnancy symptoms, sore boobs, mainly at night or in morning sleeping on front is uncomfortable, what i think is morning sickness, like travel sickness but ive not actually been sick......, heartburn and Peeing lots more than usual (Sorry if TMI) and a couple of spot, i havent had spots for years.

I called midwife this morning just to see what i am supposed to do, and she said from what i told her, the above it sounds like i could be a couple of months!? pregnant and im to have an appointment with her next week, and they will do paperwork to book me in for an early scan due to the MC.

I assumed i was 4/5 weeks or so but she said symptoms start showing a little later? Is this right? I'm sat here with no idea what to think, i know a week is not long in the scheme of things but i feel like a fraud having an appt so early (they dont see you till 8 weeks at my hosp). How on earth can i be a couple of months pregnant??

Thanks for any advice you might be able to give me I've only just accepted properly yesterday that i am actually pregnant!

I had this with dd3, i thought i had a mc, but it turns out i had lost her twin, didnt find out until a few weeks later. I was 12 weeks pg not 6 weeks that i thought i may have been.

Not sure ill be much help but, first ov all i wud like to say sorry for ur loss.

And also a big congratulations to the BFP!!!!

Im no gud with dates eitha hun, but i can help with the fact ov the symptoms ur experiencing, I was actually not just feeling sick but BEING sick 4 days b4 my period was due, i got a positive result the day before my period was due, soo for me the symptoms were really early, i also had sore boobs like i used to always get before my period and also peeing lots, so the fact the midwife sed they normally come a little later on was not right in my case, but i guess everyone is different.

Your better to go to the app especially after having the miscarriage, dont feel like ur being a fraud, they will check u over and may evan offer a scan just to confirm how far u are.

I didnt mention it as was told it would not be heriditary but im an identical twin and my DH mum was an identical twin also, and the same thought had crossed my mind about what if it was a twin id lost etc.... But i stopped that thought process as my boobs had stopped feeling painful etc. Did your symptoms stay after you had had your miscarriage??

Its weird that, never thort ov that, but it cud be a possibility!
As ur a twin and there is twins on you DH side too sounds like it cud be possible and i wud think that if u ad miscarried one, then u wud still have symptoms as your hcg levels will still be rising for the other pregnancy.

hmm not sure what to think as i think my symptoms went away when i MC.

My symptoms went away, it was only because AF should've been due that i did a hpt. dd3 is now 2.

iate - I am a bit baffled as to why the hospital assumed you had miscarried. You could have ovulated late in the feb cycle, getting your first bfp on 26th march would quite potentially have put you at only 5.5 weeks, also I had early scans at what I knew to be 7 weeks and they said like you that I had only 5weeks and that I would be miscarrying, but scanned me again two weeks later which showed baby at exactly the dates I had given originally. Early scans are notorious for being wrong (you only need to look at posts on mn to see that).

They should either have rescanned you or monitored your blood tests levels to confirm that you were miscarrying. There is no way to say that the original pregnancy was a miscarriage otherwise.

Having said that your current symptoms echo mine, and I am currently 5w pregnant too, and having concieved a baby last year immediately after a m/c, I know what it is to be wondering about how this all works.

I have to go take my dd to ballet now, but will check back later.

rainbow i went to EPU had a scan on Tuesday 14th and an empty sac was seen on the screen, then on the Thursday bleeding became worse than it had been so i went back in Friday that week, the lady who did the scan said there was no sac and i had/was miscarrying if that makes sense. The nurse i saw after told me i was miscarrying and the bleeding may get worse, which it did, but only lasted a few days, id stopped bleeing by te 23rd definately. No further apointments were offered to me they just sent me home with a miscarriage leaflet

Sorry to hear that. However, I can reassure you that it is possible to have a successful pregnancy straight after a miscarriage. I had an early miscarriage 5w+1d, and 26 days later had another postive test. I was admitted for bad pains, and the docs could not believe I was pregnant again, but that little one is now my year old ds2. It does cause some confusion when you go for appointments etc, as they ask when was your last menstrl period, and you have to say I miscarried on x date. But they take the miscarriage date as your lmp date, and work from there.

" is just what I am currently experiencing. I am so bloated that laying on my tummy is very uncomfortable. So hopefully these are all good signs for us both.

I have had a couple of early miscarriages in the last year since ds2 was born and I am anxious, but have no real reason to go ask for an early scan. Some days I wish I did have some signs that could warrent a reassurance scan, but I know that I just have to live with the anxiety and be patient for a bit longer.

I hope that you get an early scan to put your mind at rest soon.

20th January thats my due date to!! Well if i go by what it said online putting miscarriage day as day 1 of period, i moved it to the 16th April which was when bleeding properly started! Although im sure dates will be confirmed after my scan for sure, tentative date im going on is 20th Jan!
You said miscarriage date is classed as imp date does that mean implantation date i was told day 1 of cycle?? Im new to all this its only our 2nd month/cycle of ttc.
So we can symptom compare together etc...
Ohh how exciting it all is And we can be patient together if you like as i dont want to go into EPU unless i really need to and i have no need to right now

lmp = LMP (Sorry I typed it lower case), is last menstral period, which is day 1 of your last period. For a miscarriage this is generally taken as the first day of bleeding, but you may have your dates changed following your dating scan.

yes first baby and im very excited! Symptoms have gone up a notch today hope it doesnt get worse!

Iate - that is bang on time for the symptoms to gear up, 6 weeks is normally when the morning sickness starts up in ernest!!!!! I am just waiting,,,,, I had horrible sickness with my two ds', but not too bad with my dd, so I am hoping this is another girl!!!!! So far so good today, just the normal nausea.

hmm according to my dates its 6 weeks tommorrow this morn symtoms have def stepped up my boobs hurt just walking!! Been feeling sick since i woke up so am eating a big bowl of porridge might make me feel more awake today!
