Hi,
I have got sciatica, the osteopath thinks as a result of a prolapsed disc (injured my back while throwing up... nice). I am concerned that pushing during labour will exacerbate the problem, does anyone have any experience of this? I have had it for 2 weeks now and there has been no change at all. I am really worried about making it worse and ending up with surgery and a newborn.

Hi - i have a prolapsed disc, not pregnancy related, and i have been told that i am not to labour naturally as i could/would do more damage to my back so i will have to have an elective c-section (i'm 27+5 weeks at the mo)

Sorry to hear your story, and i feel your pain!
