Does anyone have an easier second pregnancy??

I think I'm pregnant with my second (first one currently 9 1/2 months and crawling rapidly everywhere) and not really looking forward to this. I can only really remember the bad bits from the last one and the fact that people always say how hard it is with a baby/ toddler etc.

Any tips for being more positive or making life easier? I'm particularly nervous that my SPD will come back. It started at 20 weeks last time and was never bad but was a real bore and stopped me from exercising really. Does it always come back and earlier than previous ones?

I don't know about spd but I spent most of my first pg in hospital and the rest on strict bed rest not that I listened . But on this pg I have hardly been ill at all. So I hope you find this pg a better one to.

Congratulations!
well I'm only 23 weeks but so far yes...loads!
I am a bit more tired, probably because I have a 2 yo and am breastfeeding, but last time I was sick loads and was off food until about 20 weeks, this time, no vomiting at all, some mild nausea which went as it should have done at about 14/15 weeks and I can (and am) eating everything on sight.
I've made up for it by having indigestion all the way through, but that's not too bad.
Also I think in general I'm just less stressed about the whole thing. I've got everything I need, not planning to go to AN classes, and not stressing about the difference between a vest and a babygro, whether I should buy or hire a tens machine and what the birth will be like.

My SPD was not as bad with no. 2

It lasted a lot longer after, but was not a dibilitating during the pregnancy

I had spd first time and not at all second time so you may be lucky. I put on a little bit less weight and I tried not to do as much swimming, especially breast stroke. Expected it to turn up at some point and it never did. Otherwise, a bit more tired, but no worse. I did have OC both times, but that I expected.

Thanks ladies, I guess you just need to roll with the punches! What is OC strawberrycornetto?

My SPD wasn't half as bad in my 2nd pregnancy. Partly I think because I didn't put on as much weight, but mostly because I insisted on being referred to a women's health physio at my booking in appt. Started seeing her at 14 weeks and saw her fortnightly throughout my pregnancy. Did the exercises she gave me religiously and took her advice very seriously. Helped enormously.
