How can I have my feet up while still tilting my pelvis forward?...no, it's a serious question!

35 weeks and I can feel that it's not good for me to sit back any more, in fact it's not comfy to sit on a sofa at all anymore. Also keen to get baby in right position as will be trying for a VBAC.

But now my ankles and feet have swollen up. I can't elevate them: it would mean lying on my back - big no-no - or sitting back on sofa.

Any ideas?

TIA

stand on head?

Not really, can you put cushions behind your back so you're sitting on couch but very upright/leaning forward with feet elevated? Or use an exercise ball somehow?
Lean over exercise ball with knees bent so feet up?

buy a seat wedge (tips pelvis forward) stick cushions behind back to support
use LOW support for feet?

OK, I'm with you...but how high do feet have to be to relieve swelling? I thought it would be quite high...

mmm yes
you may be right sorry
how about just lying on your side with pillows behind back and under bump?
i think a position that doesn't have your feet dangling down might be enough hopefully
poor you, it is an uncomfortable stage

Thanks FandZ. Am limping around at work today, and glad that I brought my mat leave forward to finish next Tues.

Think I need to try to sleep with pillows under feet so that the sweeling might reduce overnight.

Lying on left side is best I think - or is it right? One side is better than the other anyway!
Try crawling around scrubbing the kitchen floor, great for position and I don't think it'll make ankles worse.

left side! hope it improves soon

Thanks FZ, I ought to remember as I'm 20 weeks pregnant and last labour was a long one as DD was back to back with me.
