Why must we not do pelvic floor exercises whilst peeing?

I have always forgotten to do them but when I pee I remember so have done them as I pee. I wasn't sure about this so I looked it up and it says it is not recommended but no explanation why.

Because it stopped all the urine from coming out, leaving stale urine in there which is a breeding ground for bacteria, and thus putting you at risk for a UTI.

thanks for the info- will definitely stop doing while I pee.
