Am I really, really stupid or something?

Erm is this a news thread?
Congratulations

StealthPolarBear · 19/03/2009 17:50

although sorry you're sick.
When are you due?

belgo · 19/03/2009 17:51

congratulations! and loads of sympathy for the sickness.

Kathyis6incheshigh · 19/03/2009 17:51

No it's a self-flagellation thread I've known for about 5 weeks. But thanks anyway.

Middle of October I think. I've been sick since mid Feb so only another month of it to go hopefully.
It's so hard for dh though. I am being rubbish and throw up the moment I try to help with the dcs, and dd is regressing in her toilet training and having accidents all the time because she's upset . So I'm feeling guilty.
The congratulations are nice though.

...because you'll get a lovely little baby at the end of it Congratulations. Now off you go and have a lie down.

Kathyis6incheshigh · 19/03/2009 18:01

Yes the babies are nice aren't they....

Kathy I am sorry you are so sick. I have posted on some hyperemesis threads where I have seen you. I had DS with bad hyperemesis and then I got pg with DD in full knowledge that I would have it badly again, but it was still a shock when I felt so sick and ill iyswim. It will be worth it I promise. My DD is almost 1 now and I won't be doing it again! It is worth it though, babies are so lovely!

Kathyis6incheshigh · 19/03/2009 18:21

Crokky.
I must have forgotten how bad it was. Despite the fact that dh and my mum kept trying to remind me
It is nice to be reminded it is worth it. It was worth it for the first 2, even when dd does a wee on the sofa.

Kathyis6incheshigh · 19/03/2009 18:55

Kathy, I know exactly how you feel. I'm due at the end of October and I feel so very sick.

And tired. I'd forgotten the bone weariness you get in the first trimester.

And I don't know if you have other DCs but it's hard trying not to be ratty with them when you feel like you're going to spew on their heads.

Hopefully it will fade in a month or so.....

Kathyis6incheshigh · 19/03/2009 19:22

Congratulations Winky! We will be due around the same time then.

Yes it's no fun.... I have shouted at ds and he looked so surprised and then his face crumpled up crying! Dd is being very sympathetic and nice to me but then has all these accidents.

Hope you feel less sick & tired soon too.

Congratualtions.

If I'd KNOWN how I would feel during pregnancy, I wouldn't have bothered - this is my first and last child!!

Trikken · 20/03/2009 09:09

I have only been having the morning sickness for three days and im getting fustrated with it already. I also knew the probablity of getting bad morning sickness was high as had it bad with ds.

Kathyis6incheshigh · 20/03/2009 19:12

This will be my last.
The second time was slightly better than the first so I'd convinced myself the third would be better still but no such luck. Bloody Selfish Genes.

I was thinking today I couldn't go through this again. I'm pathetic.

I have a friend who had 9 months of vomiting into a bucket. I feel very queasy and feel like every hour is a challenge!

AitchTwoOh · 20/03/2009 22:44

Congratulations all you pregnant ladies!

princessmel · 21/03/2009 09:10

I'm due a similar time to you Kathy and Winky

Also feel sicky all day long. Only been properly sick once but have to keep eating all day to keep sick feeling at bay.

I feel bad for dh too. I am doing nothing around the house, apart from school runs and the washing.
He's doing the cleaning, hoovering, shopping, cooking etc.
I just have no energy to do anything.

Dont remember needing my bed this much with the last 2. I went to bed at 7 30 last night.

ladylush · 21/03/2009 09:37

That's good princessmel - so your symptoms came back?

princessmel · 21/03/2009 09:42

Hi Ladylush

Yes they did!

I ummed and ahhed about going to the Tooting hospital. I looked at their website etc. Bt Dh said to wait a bit, and I did, then I started feeling tired and sicky again. He said 'you should have been pleased when you were feeling ok, cos now you feel rough again'

I am still so nervous about everything though. I am 9+3 and want to hear a heartbeat, or feel something. I felt dd at 11 weeks.

Not had a booking appointment yet.

Thanks for all your help LL, it meant a lot.

MrsMattie · 21/03/2009 11:01

I couldn't do it again after the sickness I had last time. Good God, it was bad .

But you know what.... you're having a baby! . So worth it. CONGRATS.

ladylush · 21/03/2009 11:09

You're welcome - glad everything going well
