zomg! i just got a positive!

i had a cheapie sainsbury hpt layer around and was like i wonder what would happen if....

didn't tell dh and was being very sneaky this morning so i took it and hid it under my makeup case and went back upstairs w/o looking at it.

i just remembered about it and it's very faint but it's a positive! do you think that it still counts? took it about an hour and a half ago....

hmm it might not count if it's been that long. I think sometimes you can get an evaportaion line.

am sure someone more knowledgable will be along soon to tell you though!!!

There can sometimes be evaporation lines, but you can check... Take the test to pieces and hold the test strip part up to the light I'm sure you'll see that the colour is in the hormone detecting strip, rather than on the surface of the strip IYSWIM.

If you didn't read it in the time it says to then you discount the result either way. Most cheap tests show a faint evaporation line if left for a time.

Could you be pg? Did anything else make you think you were?

Fingers crossed, but if you didn't look at it within the recommended time then the only way you will know for sure is by doing another test.

Sounds like a possibility but I would get another one if I were you just to make sure. If you do get a BFP then many congrats

If you want to test again you need to wait until tomorrow, if the test today was faint it's because your hormone levels are still low. If you test during the day you'll probably get a false negative and have to test tomorrow anyway...

i got a "-" .

nearly had a heart attack in boots though! saw step FIL wandering around and had to duck as i clearly had two boxes of hpts in hand. . don't think he saw me.

CBQ first morning wee is much stronger, so if that first test was a morning one, i would retest in the morning.
dont drink to much fluids after 9pm tonight as well as it dilutes your urine.

CBQ - I am sorry you had BFN. I would urge everyone to aviod Sainsbury's own tests - I had two false +ve's with them. They aren't worth the heartache
