How long did it take for you to go into labour after a membrane sweep?????

Only asking as my sil had one today and im excited for her????

It didn't work for me I'm afraid. but then again, ds clearly had no intention of coming out (was 16 days late). I think it only works if you are ready to go? Good luck to your sil though!!

DS1 - Sweep on thursday AM (5 days over), but didn't go into labour until Sunday night/Monday morning. I don't think it was connected

DS2 - Didn't work (8 days over, induced at 10 days over)

DD - Sweep Monday AM (10 days over), went into labour that night/early Tuesday morning.

I had 4 sweeps before I finally went into labour 12 days overdue.

midwife told me it should happen in 24 hours if it is going to work. i had two which did not work within that time but i did have a show after them both so i think they did help. ds3 was 1st time i had sweep and 1st time i was not induced

First one didn't work. Second one after about 12 hours

I’ve had 4 sweeps, 3 definitely haven’t worked and I’m 24 hours+ after the 4th with no sign yet. Induction Friday!
