Bad back pain- are these Braxton Hicks?

I am 35+2 and last night had some really bad and uncomfortable pains around my abdomen and lower and upper back. It lasted for about 20 minutes, and then came back twice. Laying down made it worse, so the only way to feel better was to kneel.
I am fine now and baby has been moving as normal since. What was that and should I be concerned?

they dont really sound like braxton hicks.. braxton hicks are generally abit uncomfortable but not painfull. just more of a hardening feeling towards the front of your tummy.

If you feel worried call your midwife and let he know about the pains.

I had an uncomforatble abdomen and they thought it may have been my muscles seperating down the middle of my stomach trned out 2 be a hernia ouch lol

dont sit and worry give someone a call

good luck huni xxxxxxxxxx

Sounds like the baby was pressing on your spine. Kneeling was the right thing to do, and it sounds like you have managed to shift the baby into a more comfortable position.

Braxton Hicks ctx should only last for less than a minute each, so a constant 20 minutes would not be BH.

Back pain is a fair normal part of late pregnancy for some women.
