Yes! Once my DD started kicking she didn't stop! However, I used to take comfort in the fact that I always knew she was ok. She's still a fidget now!

ranirani · 15/01/2009 21:18

YESSSSSSSS! finally someone else, not just me, I thought it unusual. My baby is the firts one too. I am 36 weeks tomorrow, it has been kicking non-stop, ALL THE TIME!!!
and guess what, it does not get better, because as the baby gets bigger it does not just kick but it rolls around, thats even worse. Last night I did not lseep at all because during a day it kicks but I do not mind as much but at night time : I need some rest too!
everyone says: oh, it is so good, at least you know your baby is fine, but it is difficult to cope.

ranirani · 15/01/2009 21:19

Nellycake, are you still PG? how many weeks?

mum2b09 · 15/01/2009 21:54

Glad i can feel it all the time trying not to complain about the constant stomach churning!
It doesnt keep me awake but if i do wake at nite i put alot down to baby as, as soon as i wake i can feel it moving..
Sorry baby know i shouldnt call you 'it'!!!!

mum2b09 · 15/01/2009 22:10

Getting quite a bit but what is driving me absolutely nuts is the hiccups!! 5 lengthy bouts today already! It's like chinese water torture...

mum2b09 · 15/01/2009 22:43

your hiccups or the babys lol. my baby had the hiccups while i was in the bath im convinced, he or she made a funny little movement every couple of seconds and it lasted about ten mins but had a real pattern like asif he or she had the hiccups it was so cute ahah xxx

have not had morning sickness at all, so am lucky . Nausea is only when baby kicks my intestines at night, but thansk for kind words, mum2b09
I have another problem thouhg; terrible ear infection ( for the last week), soooooooooo painful, OMG. but that is completeley different story and thread I suppose
Although combined with super active baby and lack of sleep my life at the moment IS tough. Plus running my own business, so have to stay on top of things and with VAT returns coming end of this month, God help me!

thank god it sounds pretty normal there are other women with very active babies i feel like my baby going to pop out literally!!! it moves around so much and its huge i feel like im 40+ and i only 32+ had two previous section large babies and dont remember them keeping me up at night till last two weeks. if its any reconciliation ive had ear infection for over a week and still cant hear anything in my right ear!!!ouch

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 20/01/2009 09:42

Im also 32wks and feel the same! Moves A LOT all the time, and gets hiccups all the time which drive me insane. Still, glad its moving

WOndering if the movement contributes to the bad heartburn

ticklytum · 20/01/2009 09:51

yeah same here i seem familiar to that the days when its over active does give me heartburn and a bit of feeling nausea hmm.... anyone else feel same

mymumreadsthis · 20/01/2009 18:20

mum2b - they DO get hiccups ! My DS used to have them all the time, esp towards the end of the pregnancy, it was quite the party trick to watch my bump jump with every hic...

... and now having DC2... both first one and this one are very mobile... wriggling and kicking all the time. I once saw a thing about starting at 9am and seeing what time it was when you had felt 10 kicks as a way of measuring if there was enough movement... I think I got to about 9.05 !

And don't worry about once your DC is born, my wriggly tap dancer was a very good sleeper once he was on the outside... I only hope his sibling to come is half as good.

dan39 · 20/01/2009 18:46

I am 37 weeks and get almost constant movement too but luckily it does settle at night...but it is much more violent than I was expecting!! I get hiccups every day too - not me the babe...think its really cute!

xxhunnyxx · 20/01/2009 19:19

Awww I can't wait for that . I'm only 16 weeks so I feel little flutters but I can't wait to feel baby kick me to death

chloejessmeg · 20/01/2009 19:44

Yes this one kicks all day. DD didn't do it anywhere near as much - and I def prefer it this way round. Last time I was up the hospital all the time being monitored because I wasn't feeling movements. And I was still up most of the night with back ache. But, it didn't follow when she was born. She wasn't like a newborn at all, held her head etc at about day 2 and at about 4 weeks old was standing on her feet holding people hands or wanted to be sat up all the time - she was hard work!

Hoping this one is Lazy when she is born! i am 27 weeks and baby just doesn't stop.

Often, movements slow down at the end because there isn't much room.

ILESMUMTO3 · 01/02/2009 11:37

IM 32 WEEKS AND MY BABY MOVES ALL HE TIME WOKE ME AT 4AM THIS MORNING AND STILL 8 HOURS LATER ITS STILL GROWING STRONG , MY HUSBAND SAID HE TOO FELT BABY KICKING HIM IN THE BACK WHEN I CUDDLED HIM THIS MORNING ,

wondermommy · 27/05/2009 09:14

im 27wks and some days.im actually up right now because my son thinks my womb is a soccer stadium. its about 3am and boy am i tired! i thought i was the only one! i nearly broke into tears when i read all the responses(hormones)

3njuly · 27/05/2009 10:23

I'm with you!! I am 35 weeks with DC2 and he/she does not stop. Literally!! This is quite the reverse of DD (now 2.5yrs)who I was always concerned about as she moved so little!!

This one seems to love his food already!!! He'll give me a few healthy kicks if he is hungry and just after I have eaten - like clockwork. Noone believed me until they've felt it for themselves.

DP can feel him kicking if we are lying close together. I manage to get some sleep, though i'm not sure bump does!
