Bumping for you.

Marthasmama · 13/01/2009 21:30

Are they low down, at the sides in your groin area and hurt when you move?

divedaisy · 13/01/2009 21:31

dannyg - congratulations on your pregnancy! Where are your burning pains?? Is it a UTI? Do you have pain passing urine?

divedaisy · 13/01/2009 21:32

PuzzleRocks - what do you mean "Bumping for you"??

thisisyesterday · 13/01/2009 21:33

bumpoing just means bringing your thread up into active conversations so more people will see it

i was going to say it could be a UTI too, but obv depends where the pain is

PuzzleRocks · 13/01/2009 21:34

Bumping your thread back into active convos so it hopefully gets a response.

dannyg · 13/01/2009 21:45

Hiya the burning pain is low down on my right side, I know its not a uti as i'm a frequent sufferer unfortunately. I googled it there was mention of stretching ligaments?? do you think having a c section 11 yrs ago would cause pain? x x PS thanks for all you responses so far

That's what I was thinking. I'm only a lay person (so someone correct me if I'm wrong), but I had the same thing with my second pregnancy. Apparently you don't get them with your first pregnancy as your uterus stretches easily. The second time it doesn;t want to stretch so you get 'round ligament' pain. It get's worse with each pregnancy. It starts around week 13, which is why I thought it might be that! It can come and go, but if it gets really bad, to the point you can't walk, your MW might be able to get you in to see a physio. Hope this helps and if in doubt call your MW. That's what they're there for!

Marthasmama · 13/01/2009 21:56

Duh! Physio was for my hip pain not round ligaments! Ignore that comment, I've got baby brain! You can take pain killers though!

divedaisy · 13/01/2009 23:08

I was gonna suggest the round ligament stretching too if not UTI. After having a cs there is scar tissue present which has to stretch... this would cause a ripping burning sensation. Sounds horrid . Provided you are not allergic, you can take paracetamol safely in pregnancy - remember no more than 8x 500mg tablets in 24 hours. If it persists speak to your GP or MW.

Thanks all, still have it today although it comes and goes. I know its my 3rd pregnancy, but i still get paranoid there is something wrong. Next scan is on 5th of Feb it seems so far away though. The stretching does sound more like it (i hope) x x
