baby will take what it needs - as long as you keep your liquid intake up and probably a good idea to take your pregnancy vitamins. My appetite seems to be decreasing a bit now (25 weeks) maybe it's nature's way of making sure we don't end up the size of a house! Little and often is fine. Beans on toast is good for lunch.

Hiya,

I lost my appetite almost as soon as I found out I was pregnant, and only really got it back around 30 weeks. Felt a bit cheated that I couldn't enjoy all the extra eating I was meant to be doing (normally have the opposite problem ifyswim), but I just made sure I did eat, and as heathily as possible and I took a really good vitamin/iron supplement. Around 30 weeks, my appetite came back and whereas I'd struggle to finish even a really small portion of anything before, I now easily manage second helpings of everything! (am 33 weeks).

One thing I would say is that it probably makes it easier to eat healthily, as I found that because nothing really excited me, it was just as easy to have something healthy as something junky. But do keep up your fluids and when it does get too depressing, remember the baby is likely to be getting everything it needs and you won't be having to worry about putting too much weight on.
