My baby is transverse so a CS is looking likely. Are these usually done at 38 weeks?

I'm fairly philosophical about the whole thing although I was planning on VBAC - it has to be better than the horrid crash CS I had last time. Baby still has time to turn as I'm just approaching 34 weeks but I want to get organised and wondered if anyone knows how close to due date I'll be allowed to go before an elective CS?

Think they are normally done at 39 weeks now as there is less chance of breathing difficulties than at 38. Hope all goes well!

OUr hospital does them between 38 and 39 weeks. I had my last elective at 39 weeks.

I was due to have a cs on 31 December as baby was extended (frank) breech. That would have been 39+4 for me.

Didn't have it though as when I went in to be checked at 39+2 she had turned having only been checked 4 days before.

You still have plenty of time for baby to turn round. Some good advice about turning babies on this site www.spinningbabies.com/ if you're interested though.
