Temperature in early pregnancy?

I am 12 weeks pregnant, and spent the last week very ill, with D&V and high temp. Finally on the mend though - thank goodness.

Anyway, I foolishly googled whether or not having a high temp in early pregnancy will cause any problems - and the list is horrendous... neural tube defects, heart problems, stomach problems, bladder problems, cleft palate; and the list goes on and on.

Had mc last year, and was already struggling to believe that this baby would be ok. Am now convinced the baby won't be alright and husband just got annoyed with me for googling it... 'what did you do that for?' which has obviously helped my state of mind loads.

Feel really down today .

Sorry you're feeling so down. Glad you are on the mend now. Lots of people have cold and flu during pregnancy and the baby is fine, so please try not to worry. Have you had your scan yet or is it coming up? It would probably reassure you to phone your midwife or local clinic if you can.

I had a m/c last year too and am now 16 weeks pregnant - it is hard to believe everything will be all right - I'm always wondering about it.

We just have to try to stay calm and positive as best as we can, I think.
