I gave birth to DS1 at 31w5d in 2006 after my waters broke unexpectedly. I'm currently 26w with DS2 and really want to avoid another early birth (DS1 was in hospital for 3.5 weeks and has diplegic cerebral palsy).

At the moment I'm going on maternity leave at 30 weeks, getting cervical length scans every 3 weeks (currently stable at 29-30mm) and trying to rest where I can. DH and I also are abstaining from him ejaculating during sex as we had quite a session the night before DS1 arrived. Is there anything else we can do?

Hypnotherapy & visualisation might help. Instead of thinking about what you don't want think about your membranes being strong, your cervix staying closed until the appropriate time. communcicate with your baby that they need to stay in and grow strong. The mind is a powerful tool and our thoughts can affect our bodies. good luck
