20 weeks and confused by kicking

Hi

I am 20.5 weeks and am confused by the whole, is this a kick or not stuff. This is my first pregnancy and over the past week I have been feeling little tapping motions, in the same place. At one point when I put my hand over it my skin raised up where the tap is.

What is this? If it was kicking would it not move about?

sounds like kicking, they move more as time goes on and then move less at the very end when running out of room. my dd had hiccups when i was pregnant with her but can't remember when i first felt that.

it is the most amazing feeling isn't it. i'm due to march so about the same as you and feel the baby roughly in the same place - like a little lump up and down - love it.

Its a weird feeling at first. I had to ask the midwife as everyone i spoke to said "oh you'll just know" - i learnt quickly that ppl obvious have memory lapses once they've given birth because i never "just knew". Mine was a fluttering juddering feeling, was at 17 weeks.

Obviously the bigger she got, the harder the belts but at first, it was tiny.

Now at 39+5 - theres no missing her wriggling - she has a tendancy to stick her ass out, very painful!
