Plus size maternity clothes - where to get them?

My friend is 10 wks pregnant and she is delighted but she says she is already finding it hard to get into her trousers and is a bit worried.

She went out to find something comfier and literally couldn't find any shop that did maternity clothes in her size. I dont know what size she is, maybe 22, 24?

She said Evans dont do her size and she is getting really down about it.

Seeing her tonight and would love to be able to give her some tips! Is there somewhere good online? She might just not be looking very hard...

Hiya Millie. Next Online seem to go up to a size 22 in maternity clothes with some clothes so it might be worth her looking there. I'm a size 18 and was shocked to find the few branches of Evans I've been in don't do a maternity range! They don't seem to have any online either.

Also, I went in New Look yesterday and they only went up to a size 16 in their maternity clothes! It's nonsense.

Looks like Dorothy Perkins online go up to a 22 as well.

I've just had a quick look on ebay and looks like there are lots of things on there in bigger sizes.

I hope someone else will be able to give better advice. You're very kind to be helping your friend! xx

Hi,

Im 39 weeks pregnant and was in plus size clothes pre-pregnancy. Have been very lucky to have lost 2 stone whilst pregnant (well - not lucky to have hyperemesis!) and have only put that 2 stone back on. However i did have to buy new tops as the bump took over! I actually didnt buy any maternity tops, i bought bigger sizes. I found the best place i could go was matalan. they have a rogers and rogers section that goes up to 30+ i think and i just bought some tops a couple of sizes bigger - they do jeans and everything. Cheaper than maternity too!

Hope that helps :-)

Can't offer any help sorry - I was literally just about to make the exact same post. I range from an 18 to a 22 normally, no idea what size I am rn. I'm lucky I can work from home and can live in harem pants at the moment. It's recommended to have your hosp bag packed early with twins so I'm looking for maternity nighties and bras and really struggling. I hate clothes shopping at the best of times, can't find anything in my usual places (Simply be doesn't seem to have any maternity clothes currently which is baffling) and I'm finding it really stressful. I don't even want to buy maternity clothes Sad

I will check out some of the suggestions on this thread, thanks guys :)
