everything aches! can't imagine being massaged whilst lying on my side as would be even more uncomfortable, but does anyone know of someone who uses special pregnancy tables that accomodate bump that gives good deep massages? central or north london is best.

i'm 35 weeks.
thanks

I'll be watching with interest! I'm also 35 weeks and aching all over. Had a massage a few eeeks ago, but I had to lie on my side and then back and it wasn't comfortable at all. had one when last pregnant (in NYC) on special table with 'hole' for bump and it was bliss.

i had massages lying on my side/back when i was pregnant with ds and didn't rate them once i was further along as it got too uncomfortable...

have someone in south ken, is AWESOME. google sophiekdavis preg masssage

berri · 28/10/2008 17:16

I went for the best massage yesterday in SPAce NK in Knightsbridge - the table has 3 holes in it, one for your tummy and 2 for your boobs!! It was the best feeling ever to have my back massaged while lying on my front and the whole experience was just heavenly - I'd recommend it 100%. If you have any more queries let me know!

sunshine185 · 28/10/2008 17:47

ohhhh thanks!! I have just booked 1.5 hours at SPA NK in knightsbridge tomorrow morning!! cannot wait!!

tostaky · 29/10/2008 18:56

how much is it? they havent got the prices listed?

sunshine185 · 30/10/2008 07:41

£75 - 1 hr,
£100 - 1.5hr

works out cheaper and more worthwhile to go for the 1.5hr!!

i chose knightsbrige branch as it's literally outside the station (harrods exit)...

Just a quick bump - does anyone know anyone around the archway area who does home visits in late pregnancy - table with hole, etc? I have a friend who's in dire need of cheering up and this might help.

yellowflowers · 12/10/2010 13:21

how much do you charge mamamassage?

Charjo75 · 12/10/2010 18:21

The Spa at the Mandarin Oriental is amazing, but VERY expensive

Miffster · 12/10/2010 21:30

I had a brilliant massage in Highbury and i lay on a giant bean bag with a hole and it was only 40 quid on a week day before 5pm! It really helped with my PGP.

Here you go.

www.tanjadrayton.com/pregnancy.html

I have just ordered the beanbag as well from www.bumpbag.co.uk/. I reckon I can use it after I have the baby, and anyway, I will be practically living on it for the last 8 weeks of pregnancy. So that works out at less than a tenner a week to lie on my front and get my DH to massage my poor lower back - worth it. A lot cheaper than a bottle of wine and a spliff which is what I'd be resorting to every night if I wasn't pregnant and my back hurt this much.

dikkertjedap · 12/10/2010 22:37

Had one of these beanbags whilst pregnant - thought it was absolutely fantastic, indeed slept on it, had massage on it, simply fantastic.

sleepwhenidie · 12/10/2010 22:39

SpaNK is fantastic for pg massage (or normally). The Elemis Day Spa also gorgeous, they do pg massage with huge bean bag, tis lovely......

LittleCheesyPineappleOne · 13/10/2010 08:19

Does anyone know a pregnancy masseuse who does home visits in this area? My friend is pretty immobile with PGP.

PipPipPip · 13/10/2010 17:08

Thanks for this thread. Sophie K Davis looks good and she does home visits. I might have to "save up" for a massage, but I reckon it'll be worth it later in pregnancy :)

lucylev · 13/10/2010 18:19

I have seen a brill therapist based in Kingston Upon Thames, lovely lady very experienced and proffessional,

I had a preg massage and reflexology

£48 massage
£40 reflexology

both were absolutly fab and i enjoyed lots :)

Let me know if you would like her contact details

TanjasMassage · 02/04/2011 17:04

I am a massage therapist in Highbury (someone has very kindly recommended me a few messages above). I do massage on the bump bag bean bag, that allows you to lie face down. I have a spare bump bag for hire, in case anyone would like to use one, but isn't sure what to do with it afterwards. Hiring is ideal if you are just using it for a week or two towards the end of your pregnancy. I charge a refundable £40 deposit, plus £10 per week. You will need to collect and return it yourself. I am based in Highbury. Details here: www.tanjadrayton.com/pregnancy.html.

I go to an amazing lady in chislehurst and I lay on my side, it's amazing and I much prefer it to laying on my front.

Plus it only costs £35 an hour.. Bargain!
