what do they look for? and how long does it last.
is there anything i should ask them about - and what should I be worried about?

They look for stuff like leg and arm bones growing at same rate, organs all developing well etc.

They will be very quiet whilst doing the scan as they take measurements, notes etc. Don't be alarmed as they're just busy and not able to talk.

And they'll probably refer to the baby as 'he' (IME) but this doesn't mean it is a he IFYSWIM.

Enjoy the scan and try to relax.

They won't offer to tell you the sex and won't say much until it is over so you might not get a chance to ask about the sex. It only lasts for five or ten minutes and you don't need to ask them anything as they know what they are looing for and will talk to you when it is finished.

Just relax and enjoy it
