On sunday I felt down all day, I burst into tears in sainsburys..much to DH's embarassment.
Yesterday when I was walking DS1 to school, and pushing DS2 in the buggy we had to cross a particularly busy road but the traffic was more or less at a standstill due to roadworks, I walked them round the back of one car and the car behind it started edging forward as we were crossing and signalling for us to go round the back of his car as well....... I just lost it 'it wouldn't kill you to wait while we cross the road, you're not exactly going anywhere are you...etc. etc..."

I have been bad tempered with the kids, DH and just feel generally full of pent up emotions!
Please tell me it's not just me...!

I used to do it all the time its perfectly normal. I was like that until I was about.. well until my DS was about 3 weeks old

I am 34 weeks and have been exactly the same.

I actually wrote a note to a woman who had parked in a mother and baby space ( she didn't even have a baby seat) saying how inconsiderate she was and i hoped her wheels fell off.
I think we are being, whats the word, ah i know IRRATIONAL, or at least that is what dh has told me often enough

mabel1973 · 14/10/2008 10:04

LOL at wheels falling off. I used to work with someone who was about 26, and if he ever went to the supermarket with his mum, she would park in the parent and child spots, because she had her 'child ' with her!!!!

Dh did make the point last week that technically even though we didn't have either dd's with us in the car i am still a mother and baby he just hasn't been born yet, but i did still make him park in a normal space as it didn't seem right to park in mother and baby.

37 weeks and I am just the same, terribly teary, really missing my Dad who died last year, keep thinking about how he will never see his new Grandchild and sobbing uncontrollably when I am on my own and nobody can see me.....

Hoping that it isn't a sign that I will get PND

i am 34 weeks and am terribly emotional, but more to the agressive and irritable side. i have been behaving awfully to everyone i can't stand myself. i have also been very very awful towards my adorable dds. i can't wait for it to be over

I'm 35 weeks and irrationally angry/irritable.. Its actually starting to worry me!
I had to go home from work early yesterday because I just couldn't stand being around my workmates anymore... and I've got 4 weeks of work left..
I don't know if there's anything I can do to cheer myself up?

mabel1973 · 14/10/2008 10:24

stayinbed - you sound just like me. I am so snappy with my DS's i hate myself for it.

I am so glad it's not just me.

It's like having PMT, I don't remember being like this when I was pregnant with my ds's though.
This one's a girl, so maybe it's all those female hormones!

Minnie I am sorry to hear about your dad. I wouldn't see it as a sign of getting PND, you have good reason to feel sad.

Thanks Mabel, I hope that my hormones will settle after the baby is born.

i am 32 weeks and have gone into hibernation. I'm a bag for the last few weeks. The other mums used to avoid me at school when i was pg with no 2!

Bivo12345 · 09/04/2015 00:17

I'm 35 weeks pregnant and also have a 2yr old who incredibly active from the minute he wakes up. I'm so grumpy each day and extremely exhausted I feel irritated by everything not to mention I'm huge with loads of pains in my legs, back, bum, feet as well as braxton hicks! I try and tell my partner but I'm sure he thinks im just being over dramatic ?? it's started to concern me now as I'm feeling down a lot now and just want to cry all the time ?? I just hope it doesn't lead to PND.
