i am 34 weeks now and really getting more and more nervous by the day, recalling all the naughty things i did while pg, like loads of heavy lifting, drinking wine and champagne here and there, and eating loads of chocolates, cakes and coffees instead of veggies and water.
this is my 3rd pg. i get very depressed during my pgs due to the hormones which makes it extremely difficult to take care of myself

None of those sound really really naughty.

A bit of wine here and there is discouraged but most of us do have a bit.

I'm afraid that in my 3rd pg I ate like a pig as it was my last pg and, well, I just felt like it. Ds3 is healthy and well, on 50th centile for height/weight, and will be 2 this week. He loves fruit as much as chocolate so its not affected his diet. I'm still trying to lose pg weight though.

I know its impossible not to worry but you really don't sound like you've done anything that could cause lasting damage. Try to enjoy growing your lovely baby and good luck.

I presume you worried like this with the first two as well, and that everything turned out OK? Try and tell yourself that everthing will be fine, and repeat it like a mantra. Do you have a DH/DP? I was terribly anxious before I had my baby - absolutely convinced there would be something wrong. DH was equally convinced that everything would be fine and I found that quite comforting.

I think worry at this stage is perfectly normal, but quite horrible for you. You're nearly there now, and presumably have no real reason to think anything's wrong. The stuff you mention is not bad. The only person who might have suffered from your diet is you - the baby will get what s/he needs, but you would probably feel a bit better if you could eat some healthy stuff too. And I don't mean you'll have suffered in a bad way - just that when we're not eating well we don't feel our best emotionally (I know from experience).

Good luck - I'm confident that everything will be fine.

thank you both. yes i was worried with dd1 and 2 and all was fine. its true i will probably be the one who has to deal with the baby weight after and no one else ;)
