At 34 weeks pg I thought it would be a good idea to walk for 6 hours yesterday ... with bouts of sitting down on grass with no cushion or anything ... today I am in absolute agony! Feel like I've done permanent damage to my bloody pelvis LET THIS BE ...

Every time I turned over in the night, teh pain in my hips/pelvis woke me up

Today I feel like I've run a marathon and it hurts to sit down, stand up, lie down...

I haven't walked today, I've done a drunken sailor type roll!

WHY oh WHY didn't I listen when DH said he didn't think we should do it? WHY do I always think I know bloody best?

Ow ow OW !

Well I do feel that its eased a lot today, still uncomfortable when I've been sat for a while (am at work) but at least I can walk fairly normally!

I'm all front as well expat and ob - boy here too agree its hell on the back and I fully expect to go 2 weeks overdue (always bloody do!) so I've got another 7 1/2 weeks to go before I have him! Oh, to give birth two weeks early - or even on time!

Thomasina1, it sounds like SPD. I'd say it depends how many weeks you are as to whether you go to the doctors. I found out last week when 34 weeks and the consultant said they didnt refer people to the physio anymore because it wasnt considered to be much help...I suspect its more because I wouldnt get an appt before D-day!

They just gave me a sheet explaining how to minimise the problem and said to take paracetomol for the pain!

I'd certainly mention it to your midwife the next time you go.
