Morning all. Ok so woke up this morning and the nausea seems to have subsided slightly - It may be that its the long weekend and I am more relaxed about it (hate having to try and hide the sickness at work!)

I do have incredibly bad heartburn but thats much more manageable than the constant vomiting - if nothing else at least I know I can go a buy a vat of gaviscon and calm it down!! ! (I am sure I have just jinxed it tho and will end up with both of them by the end of the day!). Hope everyone is feeling OK and has lots of relaxing plans for the BH weekend.

Ha ha!!! Don't worry Slickbird - I definitely feel more like babybloat! Anyone else getting noticeably 'thicker'

Hope it is subsiding for you BB. I think week 8 has been the worst so far for me and am concerned 9 could be even worse . I started getting heartburn this week too.

BabyBolat · 23/08/2008 09:54

Yeah week 8 was definitely the worse for me, 7 was pretty bad but 8 was the time that I felt the full force of the sickness - I'm crossing everything that it doesn't get worse than that. Just heading in to week 9 and the heartburn has kicked in.

So far its only been a couple of hours without the nausea so I am not counting my chickens just yet! Also I know this is really stupid as I absolutely hate the sickness but it was kind of reassuring that everything was still progressing? Hope it's not a bad sign

Cosmogirl · 23/08/2008 13:19

Sure everything will be fine - some people have said that their nausea started to improve at week 9. I'm hoping mine does! Will be 9 weeks on Tuesday. I can't help thinking the worst and won't be reassured until we've had the 12 week scan and seen that everything is OK.

BabyBolat · 24/08/2008 07:37

I think that's normal, I can't wait until that scan to see that little alien shape and know that everything is ok! It still doesn't feel that real (despite the nausea and swollen boobs and everything else telling me that I am pregnant!) so hopefully when I have the scan it will really start to sink in!

The nausea came back yesterday but not quite as bad as before thankfully!

Morning people, my sickness was def worse between 8 - 11 weeks, averaging a chuck 4 times a day. Am now down to two, usually in the evening and I'm 12wk+ Don't know when it will stop, seems to be worse when I'm tired tho....

Yes, my belly is tricky to hide, although, now I've had my scan, I can tell people so it's quite a relief, but am at that stage I think where my normal work clothes are too tight and maternity ones are too big. I just look like I have trapped wind or something.
