There are no shops open and I NEED icecream! It's the nearest thing to it. I know you shouldn't have Mr Whippy but are McF's the same?

As the ice-cream is pasturised you should be ok - and yes the machines are hard to clean but all mcdonalds restaurants are required to strip them down each night and clean them throughly and sanitise them. Of course it depends on the person cleaning it if it is donw properly - but I would assume that the risk is the same with most ice-cream as again yuo are relying on someone else's hygien standards.

Get yourself an ice cream maker and you can make your own - great at 3 in the morning plus you can mkae all the weird and wonderful flavour you like without any of the strange stare for the 12yr old boy serving at the local 24hr petrol station - lol!!!

I should think it's fine. Satisfy your craving! I haven't heard of anyone getting salmonella from a McFlurry...but maybe I am reading the wrong papers

I think mcdonald's is generally quite trustworthy for food hygiene.

I'll ask my parents to bring over some wispas in november when they visit the new baby. I'll have to specify wispas, because last time I just asked them to bring Cadbury's chocolate and they only brought me picnics! I don't even consider picnics to be chocolate.
