I am currently 6 weeks pregnant. I have no symptoms whatsoever. My first pregnancy ended in an mc at 12 weeks and second pregnancy at 6 weeks. During first and second pregnancy I had slight zig zag pains in my side - could have been a bad sign I now think. Also felt bit dizzy during first pregnancy. I am now so paranoid just hoping I'll be third time lucky!
Has anyone else been in this situation. and/or had no symptoms at all with a pregnancy at this time.
thinking of it my only 'symptom' would be waist feels bloated and clothes bit tight - i'm usually a size 10 but some feel too uncomfortable.
Help!

I have only had symptoms from 6 weeks onwards, which were an aversion to certain smells and attacks of the vapours!

I hope things go well for you

thanks for your message. suppose everyone is different but after everything the past few months I just feel so on edge and know that I should relax. not that easy though.

I can imagine you are worried and will be until your 12 week scan.

If you have reason to think the pg isn't progressing or you are worrying yourself sick, you could always request an early scan?

Ema76 · 27/07/2008 11:29

Yes I have requested one so hopefully will get one and it should put my mind at ease. My 12 weeks scan will be around the first week of Sept - seems so far away so would be great to have one sooner. Thanks

I miscarried my first baby at 11 weeks. I got pregnant 3 months later and had no symptoms at all. I was incredibly anxious that i was going to miscarry again - however i am currently 38 weeks pregnant!

Everyone says i was incredibly lucky to have no symptoms - but the anxiety it caused was probably worse than morning sickness.

Look after yourself - i hope all goes well for you this time. Are you booked in for an early scan?

Ema76 · 27/07/2008 11:36

Sorry to hear about your first baby but congratulations on being 38 weeks - not long now
I agree even though morning sickness must be awful I'd feel more at ease if I had a symptom like that. I have requested an early scan so just waiting for the post now!

Just remember that lots of people have no symptoms early on - and it doesnt have to be a bad sign.

Will be thinking of you x

Hey Ema76, I'm in the same situation as you - mmc in nov at 9 weeks, mc in mar at 5wks and now 5 weeks preg again. In absolute turmoil and just don't know how I'm going to gte through the next few days let alone weeks. Have been having very mild pains in lower abdomen and was convinced it's ectopic, but they are subsiding and were extremely mild anyway. It's a nightmare and I think you just have to keep busy. I appreciate that I'm SO lucky in that I already have two beautiful kids, but it doesn't make me want this one to work any less.

I'm going for an 8 week scan which is the earliest I've been told they can see anything conclusive. How about you??

Sorry, will this be your first dc? Wishing you so much luck....

i had two miscarriages before my current pregnancy (now 39 weeks). I never had morning sickness, just a few vague bits of nausea around 10 weeks or so, and that was probably only because i was looking so hard for it! The only other thing i had was twinges for a few days around week 7.5 that scared me to death because i thought i was miscarrying - it was just my uterus stretching, apparently.

best wishes to you, and try not to worry!!

oh, and i took baby aspirin and progesterone this time around - who knows if it did the trick but i recommend it for peace of mind.

meep · 27/07/2008 20:59

Ema76 - I am about 5.5 weeks pregnant and I have no symptoms either! With dd I didn't get any until around 8 weeks and even then they didn't last long.

Fingers crossed for you and try not to worry.

Ema76 · 27/07/2008 21:44

thanks both. I have requested early scan so just waiting for the date now. My first mc I discovered at my 12 week scan when there was no heart beat - absolutely heartbreaking. My second was from bleeding at 6 weeks.
I am keeping busy have list as long as your arm of things to do. 3rd time lucky for my first child I hope! Although the first two will always be with me. Luckily I have a scan picture of my first little bean and I treasure it.

Hi Ema and others - have a look at the Pregnancy after Miscarriage thread, full of people in just your situation who are really worried, and comparing notes - loads of support there! I am 13 weeks now after mmc in April and still petrified despite positive scan at 12 weeks - my confidence from this lasted about 3 days and now \i am frightened it has gone again and I am just fat!
Good luck wioth it, its a scary time.

PollyPartridge · 15/08/2008 14:34

Hi Emma, I know this is a few weeks later but just wondered how you're getting on? I am in the same boat as you were, I am 6 weeks today and have no symptoms whatsoever and am extremely anxious - I had a m/c in Jan which wasn't discovered until I went for 11 wk scan - so awful, and I can't bear to go thro that again. I told Dr that I wanted early scan and she said 8-10 wks so just waiting now for letter from hospital. But I can't help but feel pesimistic and am desperate to feel sick/tired. How are you getting on? Its good to know that I'm not the only one! x

GirlWithTheMouseyHair · 15/08/2008 14:59

just to relieve your fears, I had no symptoms at all until 8 weeks and they only lasted a fortnight - every person is different but every pregnancy is too...fingers crossed for you all

missindependa · 26/08/2010 17:45

Hi! I'm roughly 5/6 weeks pregnant and am having a very different pregnancy to my first. I have PCOS and so my last period was about 2 months ago, but I've had loads of tests and they've all resulted negative, until last Tues when I had a blood test and the results showed my Bhcg hormone was rising, and on repeat of the test I had the result last Friday that I am definitely pregnant! That day I did a test and had a positive result :).
I'm just so nervous cos I don't have any sickness, just a slight 'icky' feeling every now and again and I don't seem to fancy any foods, whereas normally I'm not very picky! I have really sore boobs though.

Ive been so worried cos I don't really feel pregnant. I wont have a scan until end Sept but my midwife and I think I'll be due around the end of April next year. My friend thinks this pregnancy is different cos it's with a different father...anyone else heard that? xx

Maggieny · 26/08/2010 21:09

Try not to worry - you got to think of positive things and send good vibes to your baby!!
Hang in there and enjoy not being sick!!! x
