Can someone help? I have just taken a pregnancy test, the first response one, and it has come up with a very, very faint red line, has anyone else had this? Its not my due on date yet but been feeling a bit iffy lately, so decided to take a test. I have 3 children already and when taking those tests the line ws very prominent

Also does anyone know what happens if you are pregnant and working for a company on a fixed term contract, can they get rid of you??

any help would be greatly appreciated xx

kat - hope it works out the way you want it to.

and, fwiw, your company might not be like mine. mine were (are) very sexist

sorry meghalegs... that was a big generalization on my part!!! Just trying to give goingslowlymad some slack there... I know i've had days where I just snap at anythign and everything said to me... and (I'd like to believe....)it's the pregnancy hormones talking

Sounds like you are pregnant to me Kat80.

I did a test about 3 days before i was due my period and it was very faint, i did another when i was 2 days late and it was alot darker.

If there is any line there (faint or not) i would assume your pregnant

a line is a line hope it all works out for you good luck
going slowly but mad i am sure that you woulndt want that response if you got a faint test line and were worried. she was after some support!!!

kat80 · 05/07/2008 10:10

Thanks everyone for all your support, i have done another one today and the line is darker, so i guess i am, its totally unexpected so really not sure how to feel but i'm sure it will work out ok, and with the whole work thing, what will be will be! I'm covering a maternity leave so was probably likely that she'll return to work! I'm starting to wonder if theres something wrong with the chair at work!!!

Kat80 i would def recommend using a digital test.

For me, so much easier, in words either PREGNANT or NOT PREGNANT.

I used Clear Blue digital test, and STILL did Three as thought too good to be true!

All the best!!!! xx

PMSL laughing at 'there is something wrong with the chair'

How many people have tried that excuse do you think?

I just did a first response on Wednesday and the first one was a faint line I noticed 5 hours after I took it and thought it was negative. My directions said that a positive would read for 48 hours and a negative should not be read after 10 minutes. I did the other one and it was a much more readable line. To me sounds like you're pregnant.

I also went out and bought some clearblue just to verify.
