Is an hCG level of 21 at 9 DPO okay? (3 weeks and 2 days)

Hi everyone, I tested positive on Monday at 8 DPO. Was over the moon to say the least! I’ve had a few chemical pregnancies so seeing this test was a big change to the usual super light faint tests I get. Due to my recurrent miscarriage history, I requested a HCG beta tests 48 hrs apart. I got my results for my beta draw on Tues at 9dpo and my levels were 21. I have gone for my repeat test today, but don’t have the results yet.

I’m just worried if the level was too low? I really don’t want to lose this pregnancy and I am hoping my hcg at least doubles , but is this okay for 9dpo?

It was literally the day after I tested positive so I wasn’t expecting a VERY high result as I likely implanted on 6DPO and then tested positive 2 days after that when hcg began to form..

Thank you xx

Also a recurrent miscarriage Mama here. Have had 4 in the last 15months.

I am currently 4W 5D and my early tests look exactly like yours.
Very different o my chemicals that never got darker then those at 10DPO. Even when I was 6weeks along.
So I would say you should be fine.
I was a mess last week when I found out. But since 16DPO been much more relaxed. Hopefully you feel a bit more chill soon. But understand 100% the anxiety.

Yes @ThisLoyalMaker21 is more than fine for 9 dpo. I was at an IVF clinic where they did blood tests most days and we had a FB group so I watched A LOT of hcg results coming through. The number is less important than the increase (not always exactly double and it slows down too at some point - around 1000) some people had successful pregnancies starting with low numbers.

but yours is not a low number. It’s perfect. It’s not really possible for it to be much higher at this point.

These early weeks are so hard emotionally when you’ve been through a loss or struggled to conceive so wishing you luck and hoping this one sticks for you x

its not just okay, it’s great for 9dpo. Congrats x

Congrats to you 🥰🌈 praying that it’s a sticky baby and that everything goes to plan for us both!.. I did a 12DPO test this morning and am spiralling a little as I don’t know if it’s progressed enough.. second image shows 10DPO on the left vs 12DPO on the right for reference 🥺

Thank you so much @Janefx40 that gives me a lot of reassurance so thank you for taking the time to comment 🥺🙏🏻 I took my 12DPO test today and I’m not sure if it’s “progressed enough” or if I’m just spiralling as I’m expecting loss sadly!! I will share some test pics below if you don’t mind 🤞🏼💕 the side by side is 10 Dpo left vs 12 Dpo right

There is clear progression between the 10dpo and the 12dpo! Don’t forget the lines look slightly darker when they dry, and the 10dpo will be dry by now.

I know how hard it is to relax, I suffered four early losses previously, but please try and put the tests down because you will drive yourself crazy!

You are pregnant, everything is ok today. One day at a time x

Okay thank you so much 🥺🙏🏻 I probably needed to hear this.. the second pics where it’s two tests side by side, those are both the tests when they’re fresh in comparison to one another. Do you see some progression between the 2 at least? Xx

I absolutely do see the progression.

I’m keeping everything crossed for you!x

Those look great. I also found testing AM was lighter then PM which was strange. Can only suspect implantation occured PM.
I can't share images on PM so here are my 8 - 14dpo tests.
Progress Most obvious every 48 hours.

I used Wondfo. Ran out of them and can't find stock anywhere. And then swapped to ClearBlue and First Response.
