Positive test 10 dpo then negative pregnancy tests 12dpo

I'm sure I know the answer deep down. But has anyone had a positive test then negative test, and still been pregnant?

I did a Tesco own brand test which looks like a faint positive Thursday 10dpo, I then did another Thursday afternoon which was negative. Left it a few days and did a Ovum test this morning 12dpo which was also negative.

Wondering if it was an issue with the test, tested too early or maybe never ever a true positive. Although usually when I have had negatives there is absolutely no line, whereas this did have one within the time I should have checked it.

Anyway wondering if anyone's had this situation before. Happy for the cold hard truth that I'm probably 99.9% sure not pregnant.

I'm due in 2 days with no usual symptoms of my period but have been nauseous. Maybe just in my head.

Always always take the most recent

You aren’t pregnant this month
good luck for next

Thank you, this was my thinking also. Do you reckon an issue with the test or maybe a super early chemical miscarriage?

Next time will be waiting until I'm due on to save the disappointment!

I'd say that was a chemical pregnancy, so the egg was fertilised but didn't successfully implant. I'm sorry

Chemical pregnancy, heartbreaking, it happened to me soon after a miscarriage and it hurts horribly. Do you test early every month? I'd say don't test before twelve dpo next cycle to avoid heart break, although it's hard and knowing you have chemicals can. be valuable information if you need fertility investigation later.

Faint positive….. was the line clear and solid with no running? It can be very very faint but must be solid and neat

Opinions welcome, although not ending the way I was hoping. Would be good for future reference or others, whether positive or I was being too hopeful!

Thank you, I don't usually test unless late but just felt a little different in myself! But 100% will be trying to wait from now on.
