Hi everyone

Im 37 weeks today and my hip pain has suddenly got so much worse since this morning

Ive had the odd aches through this pregnancy but nothing like this. Today it actually hurts to walk, getting up off the sofa is painful and turning over in bed last night wasnt much fun either

Its mainly one hip but I can feel it across my pelvis aswell sometimes

Baby is still moving like normal so thats reassuring me a bit but I wasnt expecting it to suddenly get this bad overnight

Im trying to tell myself its probably just because im getting towards the end now but then my brain starts wondering if I should be getting checked

Has anyone else had it suddenly get worse around this point? Did anything actually help?

Im due in a few weeks anyway so im hoping its just one of those lovely pregnancy things 😂 but ive gone from being able to get about alright yesterday to walking like an old woman today

Im probably over thinking it but every new ache seems to make me wonder if somethings starting now

I had quite bad SPD/PGP during my pregnancies and was definitely walking like an old lady by the end, walking and turning over in bed were so painful!
It is a little concerning that you’re much worse overnight though, it could be that the baby’s head is engaged and putting more pressure on things down there? Or did you do anything yesterday that could have aggravated things?
I’d see what you’re like by tomorrow morning and give your midwife a call

I didnt really do anything different yesterday which is why its confused me a bit

The only thing I can think is maybe babys moved lower because it genuinely feels like theres so much more pressure than there was a couple of days ago

Turning over in bed is definitely the worst bit 😫 I actually had to stop for a second because it hurt so much

If it’s still like this tomorrow then I’ll ring my midwife and see what she says. I dont want to bother anyone if its just normal for this stage but I also dont want to ignore it if its something that should be checked

Im secretly hoping it means he might not keep me waiting too much longer 😂 although knowing my luck ill still go overdue
