Exactly the same both times! DS1 is 6, am currently 32 weeks and I'd forgotten half the feelings until I experienced them again this time around...spookily similar (another DS btw)

sweetkitty · 25/06/2008 12:41

All 3 have been exactly the same, actually this one has been a lot harder due to SPD and having two toddlers but the actual shape of the bump/size of me/cravings/feelings have all been the exact same, maybe it's because it's 3 girls.

The two of them that have been born (still pregnant with number 3) are completely different in every way though.

Ist and 2nd have been different

Though I know I'm expecting a DD again, I felt sicker the 2nd time round and went off eggs at the beginning.

The 2nd pregnancy has been more difficult near the end of it (I'm 38 wks now). Become a monster, had horible wet discharge (sorry) all the time and more tired (but I suppose thats because I've a toddler to look after this time as well. Also didn't get night cramps with this one.

Same symptoms both times. Same sort of bump/weight gain.

Less moody second time and i enjoyed it more.

Felt well both times apart from the nausea and tiredness at first.

First time

No real symptoms until sickness hit at 5 weeks. V nauseated until 17 weeks.
No headaches.
Developed pre-eclampsia at 36 weeks having had no BP problems 'til then.
Gained 5 stone.
Hated the idea of coffee and green veg.

This time (In am only 16 weeks pregnant)
No real symptoms until sickness hit at 6 weeks. Vomitting all the time to 12 weeks.
Headaches.
High BP already.
Gained 5lbs so far.
Love coffee and veg really hate the idea of any meat.

1st pregnancy was a dream. No sickness, but stupid cravings for dark chocolate and cheesy tuns pasta bakes (I put on shedloads of weight). No complications throughout.

2nd pregnancy. Terribly morning sickness and tiredness. Varicose vein up one leg into my lady bits made walking painful. High blood pressure and anaemia.

I preferred the first time...

freakypenguin · 25/06/2008 12:56

1st time was absolutely fine except some dizziness from very low blood pressure. Also DS1 was due in August (actually came mid September) so I was incredibly hot, but could just lie down next to a fan (oh, those were the days!

2nd time I had a few more complications including early labour starting at 26 weeks that had to be stopped and meant staying overnight in hospital. Same dizziness and low BP.

TBH I didn't enjoy being pregnant the second time because of having a toddler to look after - I was just knackered all the time. Love DS2 to bits of course, but I am deffo stopping at 2! Couldn't go through PG/childcare at the same time again - and respect to all you ladies who do!

jamescagney · 25/06/2008 13:16

first time around not a clue I was pg until 8 weeks, (has sore boobs and went off alcohol) sailed thru pregnancy no complications tg

second time around (am only 6 weeks or so!)huge sore boobs from 3 weeks and still fancy a drink, am chronically tired... bring it on!

AbstractMouse · 25/06/2008 13:47

1st pregnancy (DD)I had mega sore boobs, terrible headaches, nausea, vision went funny, extreme tiredness.

2nd pregnancy (DS) well not much really, was sick about 4 times from 18-20 weeks, didn't have sore boobs or nausea etc. Bumps both times were humungous due to carrying a lot of fluid, but DS was the biggest.

silvermum · 25/06/2008 13:47

artichokes you sound like me...first time round i went right off all meat and had the most horrendous migraines until 16 weeks. Just found out am PG again and am just praying the migraines won't happen this time...
