Sudden slip but didn’t fall- any risk to baby?

I’m 28 weeks and slipped on a wet patch on the kitchen floor, I managed to catch myself so I didn’t actually fall or bump off anything. I wasn’t worried until I stupidly looked on google and read that even a sudden jolt like saving yourself from a fall could cause a placental abruption? I don’t have any pain and have felt some movement since it happened so hoping I don’t need to worry?

This happened to me when I was maybe 28 weeks, possibly even 30. Fell on ice but went down onto my knee fortunately. I think at the time I rang my midwife (can’t remember what the things to look for were), but I didn’t need a visit or check up. If you’re worried then give the maternity unit as it would be at this time of night a call, and just see what they think/ advise

No harm done. Relax.

@Aaaallthefood I actually have a midwife appointment tomorrow which is good timing. I’m feeling fine and as I didn’t actually hit off anything I’m not feeling too worried but will keep an eye on baby’s movements tonight. Glad all was fine for you, I find any kind of fall/slip jarring when pregnant!
