If you have to pull the test apart then it’s a negative test OP. Hopefully it’s just too early to tell

StrawberriesandBrylcream · 18/02/2026 10:40

I know its hard OP, but try to wait another 2 days at least. If you test again on Friday at the earliest with either a digital or early detection and think you have a positive then thats more optimistic.
For now, its maybe a little too early in any case. Sorry for your previous loss and fingers crossed that in a few days you have a positive test.

AmyJane91 · 18/02/2026 10:43

Ok thankyou I will keep u posted xx

You’ve pulled the text apart again so it’s invalid again. It’s very possible you can now see the indent where the line would be. Because if you are due on in the next day or so you would normally have a clear positive at this point. So based on that I would say that test is negative. If you feel there is a line there, use a digital. That way you don’t need to pull the test apart. It will spell it out in words that are easy to read.

AmyJane91 · 21/02/2026 15:01

Ok I did see the line before I took it apart. I did think it would be stronger if i was due on this weekend I did another one just now and there is the same line fingers crossed it is but not to sure think I might be out this cycle again with my first son I had negative till I was 7 weeks then got a positive so maybe this is the same but I have a feeling there just evaps thankyou xx

I can maybe see a shadow but I wouldn’t quite call it a positive, please stop taking the tests apart OP all it does invalidate it.

Do you have a digital you can test your FMU with tomorrow?

loryN22 · 21/02/2026 16:37

That definitely looks like a positive line to me. I had a similar faint result with my first, and it just got darker over the next few days. Take another one tomorrow morning to be sure.

StrawberriesandBrylcream · 21/02/2026 16:49

I can see a line, but because you've taken the test apart it could easily be an error.

If you take a test again tomorrow please dont take the test apart. For my first pregnancy I didn't get my first faint positive until the day after Id been due on, so depending on when you ovulate it can take until your missed period to show but you shouldn't need to dismantle the test.

AmyJane91 · 21/02/2026 17:26

Thankyou everyone I will wait and see if I come on my period tommorow if not I will test Monday hopefully it is Smile xx

ToKittyornottoKitty · 21/02/2026 19:13

It’d be a clear positive by now if you were pregnant and I still can’t even see a line on that. It looks the same as the one you did a few days ago which wasn’t positive either. Fingers crossed for you OP, but again, if you need to pull the test apart then it’s negative

AmyJane91 · 23/02/2026 15:52

Hey I've not had no period yet was due on yesterday. I always have regular cycles. Xx

StrawberriesandBrylcream · 24/02/2026 15:26

Hi OP, that's encouraging. Hopefully if you do test again you get a definitive positive xx

AmyJane91 · 25/02/2026 13:06

3 days late no period but negative test. Xx

Did you track ovulation using sticks or BBT or anything like that? Or did you just use an app that predicts it?

AmyJane91 · 25/02/2026 13:16

I just use a app. Xx

In which case it’s possible you didn’t ovulate when you think you did. If you ovulate late you’ll have a late period. In future it might be worthwhile using Ovulation sticks to check. That way you know exactly when you ovulate so you know when expect your period.

AmyJane91 · 25/02/2026 13:22

Bur my period are same time every month have been for years even after my misscaridge In December they have been regular since. X

You said your miscarriage was in October and bleeding went on for 2 months. It’s only February now so it’s totally normal for your periods/ovulation to still be a little out of time. Hopefully you just ovulated late this month, try not to worry about it

AmyJane91 · 25/02/2026 13:29

Yea October but had medical management in December but my 2 period since like the one after My medical management then the one in January were on time. So it's strange hopefully if I test Friday it might be positive with my first son I did not get a positive till 8 weeks . Xx

OP posts:
Daisypod · 25/02/2026 13:37

Even if your periods are the same time every month an app can only go on averages of when you might ovulate. When I started using opks it became apparent the app was way out. Most people have a luatal phase of 10-14 days but not everyone.
your really best to use the ovulation sticks and maybe even monitor your temp to get more accurate ovulation prediction. Good luck

StrawberriesandBrylcream · 25/02/2026 13:41

I wouldn't rely on an app OP. Its entirely possible that you're not ovulating when the app thinks you are, or could be not ovulating some months at all. If you tend to test positive later into a cycle Id suspect that also means ovulating a bit later too, with a shorter luteal phase than the app is tracking.

If this cycle isn't a positive for you, I'd suggest tracking each morning using the ovulation tests to help ensure you are ovulating when the app thinks you are.

AmyJane91 · 26/02/2026 14:25

I'm come on my period today 4 days late. Hopefully next cycle will be the one 🙏 thankyou for your comments everyone. Xx

I would still advise using ovulation tests. Because you were 4 days late this month you possibly ovulated later than you expected (your luteal phase normally stays the same) so you might have potentially missed your peak day. Plus it will help you know when to test so you don’t end up testing at 2dpo etc.

AmyJane91 · 26/02/2026 15:03

Yea thankyou I've never had a late period rele strange. How would I know if I am still ovaluting this is my 4th period since miscarriage and no pregnancy I know it can sometimes take a while to fall pregnant. I know I can do ovalation strips but why could I be late on my period does that change anything. X
