Reassure me - pregnant but no symptoms!

Hi all.

Really just looking for reassurance. This is a very wanted pregnancy following bouts of infertility due to polycystic ovaries.

I know the date of conception [roughly], so I am around 5 weeks pregnant… but I have no symptoms, at all, apart from backache and cramping [which doesn’t particularly fill me with confidence]. The cramping is not severe though, and is sporadic rather than constant.

TMI
No discharge at all, diarrhoea instead of constipation (which I had previous pregnancy), no breakouts, no sore boobs, low hard cervix, no sore nipples, no morning sickness or cravings, absolutely nothing.

I know it’s still early, but by now everyone I know had some sort of symptoms. Please can someone help reassure me that this is normal, and I shouldn’t be worrying too much!

Thank you in advance. Please be kind, I am aware most will probably think I am being silly but I’d really appreciate some reassurance 💙🩷

With my first, I wouldn’t have known I was pregnant at all! Never had morning sickness or any digestive issues, my skin was flawless throughout, I got slightly sore boobs around 7 weeks, and that was it until 3rd trimester when I got severe carpal tunnel. Second pregnancy I was nauseous 24/7 from 5 weeks to 15, constant breakouts, just a completely different experience. Every pregnancy is different, try not to worry!

A bit of tiredness in the first trimester with one of the 3, and one day of feeling vaguely nauseous. But I could well have been looking for that!

Other than that, no symptoms. I was the size and shape of a beach ball all over with #1, the only girl, and not much changed bar an enormous bump with the 2 boys.

I am trying to be positive as no bleeding as of yet, but so different from my other pregnancies which have been similar. Probably overthinking but really appreciate the replies x

With my first I was half convinced at the 12 week scan that they wouldn't find anything because other than the absence of periods (& tiredness, but work was busy so I thought it could be that) I had no symptoms at all. DC is now 9. Second pregnancy was the same/no symptoms either and all was fine. Congratulations OP!

No nausea till 6 weeks and only for a few weeks for me, sore boobs on and off after 6 weeks but would disappear at times. Bloating and digestive issues have been a fair constant hah, but then I’ve been on progesterone fairly consistently from the start so that’s probably why. Weirdly for me sore boobs in the TWW would indicate period not pregnancy, and lack of sore boobs pregnancy!

The only symptom I had early on was an increased sense of smell and I went off coffee. Otherwise I probably would have been 8-10weeks before testing because of irregular periods. I was still wearing normal clothes until 30 wks so if I hadn’t tested I may well have been very pregnant before finding out. I was 40 so would have assumed it was the onset of menopause since my DM went through an early menopause.

No symptoms at all with my first. Bit more fatigue with my second and later some pelvic girdle pain but no nausea on either. Two healthy babies. Good luck x

I'm currently 9 weeks 1 day and I've had very little symptoms I had huge sore boobs from the start (found out at 3 weeks) which have eased off now, I had no sickness very little nausea and the only symptom that's stuck with me is the fatigue I'm constantly tired regardless of how much sleep I get. I've had 2 previous losses so completely understand your anxiety, please try not to worry too much. I had an early scan (private) at 6w 3days and confirmed everything was as it should be at that stage and even heard a heartbeat, you could maybe consider an early scan if it's something available to you? xx
