Did your second babies come same time as first earlier or later?

Hey guys,

my first arrived 37+6 days, I am 37+6 with my second today and nothing happening at all lol. Have an induction booked for 2.02 due to high bp. Really want a natural birth, when did your second babies arrive? Late or roughly same time as your first?

First was 38+4. Second was 38+4!!

I thought second would come on the date or earlier then first but clearly they sound more stubborn lol.
have a sweep booked for next week fingers crossed he shows up after that lol

My first was 40+4, my second was 39+4. Currently 39+2 and rapidly losing any hope that she might make an appearance before my booked induction on Sunday 😬

Both mine delivered on 39+3 one a c section one an induction

1st- 36+6. 2nd- 39+4.
I bought a yoga ball with 2nd day before he arrived. Spent the evening bouncing on it and rolling exercises that I’d seen can stimulate labour or encourage baby into position.Contractions started about 5am the next morning and was born at 7.50am.

Baby 1: 39+0
Baby 2: 40+7
Baby 3: 41+1

As you can see, my pregnancies got progressively longer! The funny thing was, I was signed off from about 24 weeks with my 3rd as the doctor was worried I was at risk of early labour!

First was 40+1 (but midwife thought was a week over once out…)
second 40+7
so looks later but prob about the same…

So an update my second came via an emergency c section..
first 37+5 days
second 38+1 but via c section

Both 3 weeks early. First one, went into labour 3 weeks early. Second one had to have an elective Caesarian and they didn’t want to leave me any longer

39+3, 40 exactly, 41+1

1st was 5 days earlier than my due date.
2nd was 2 days later.

My first was 40+5 (spontaneous birth), my second was 41+4 (induction).

My first was 39+3 and my second was 41+1🤣really kept us waiting!

Congratulations Op!

I went into labour at 4am on 39+2 with my first and 7am on 39+2 with my second. However, as my first was born under GMT and my second under BST there was actually only 2 hours between the start points of my labours.

Anyone who knows me well is not at all surprised by these facts.

First was 40 weeks, second was 38 + 4
But it always varies

1st went into labour on due date, actually born two days later

2nd was dd+10

To update, lovely DD3 came on her due date last Wednesday, following a bit of a long-winded induction. So, they couldn’t do a sweep at 39+1, or my booked Foley’s balloon induction at 39+4, so I went back to try the gel the following day. Two 1 ml doses of the gel started things off, and I spent two days in the antenatal ward, waiting for there to be a space in the labour ward (that part of labouring just in paracetamol and codeine wasn’t remotely fun!). I finally got to the Labour ward at 4.30, and she squeeked in on her due date at 22.11!

Earlier. First 41+3, second 40+4.

First was 38+6
Second was 39+6

So second baby was a week later. Both full term and over 7lb.
