Not feeling pregnant ???

Hi, I am nearly 6 weeks pregnant. I am starting to worry as I was not as tired yesterday, and also boobs not as sore this morning.

Has anyone experienced this and go on to have a successful pregnancy?

I have no bleeding or cramps. Knickers checking like you would not believe

Is it normal for tiredness to come and go? what about boob soreness?

I was just about to start a thread with similar title as I am new to this topic. I think I can graduate from TTC as I got my third positive this morning.

I have 2dd's and had 2mc's in 7 months. For the last two pregnancies I had a really sore chest and was always wanting the toilet. This time I am really worried. I have no symptoms at all. Absolutely nothing except a little ewcm.

I hope it is not a bad sign. I daren't go for a scan as last time the Consultant could not find anything and wanted me back at 7.5 weeks when he said I had mc'd. I think I could be 5 weeks now or cd38. In second irregular cycle since mc.

Congrats Singing
Hope it's a sticky bean for you!

Hi Ohjoy, haven't had chance to read all the posts but I know eactly how you feel. I am now 16 weeks pregnant and my sister is 8 weeks ahead of me. She is having what I would call a stereotypical pregnancy i.e. morning sickness from wk 6 to wk 12, sore growing boobs etc... whereas ME, well, i felt nauseas for 2 weeks from wk 6 to wk 8. Told MW that it had subsided and she panicked me into calling EPAU. Rang them they told me I needed my bloods doing. Had a 72 hour wait for all bloods, gave MW the results, she panicked me again saying they hadn't risen very much so EPAU offered me ANOTHER scan (already had one at 6wk 5 days). When I attended they told me that bloods shoudln't be relied upon at 8 weeks onwards as your levels start to settle down and the only way to find out if all was ok was a scan. Luckily everything was fine and still is. My boobs only hurt for 1 week in week 5. They do not hurt at all now and haven't done since week 6. I had bad food aversions and that was it. As soon as week 12 came i started to panic again as i felt normal. All i am saying is if you really feel something is wrong, call your EPAU they are normally great. If necessary exagerate your lack of symptoms and pain and they will normally get you in for a scan, now that is reassuring trust me i'm waiting for my 4th scan in 3 weeks time. Good Luck and let us know how you get on. there is one thing for sure, don't follow the books as they never tell you about the other people who don;t follow the stereotype. I'm going to write a book for people like us "What really happens during pregnanacy and what not to worry about" x

Im glad to have found this thread. I am 5.2 weeks and no symptoms whatsoeva. This is my third pregnancy and with the other two I had bad sicknes and sore bb from about 4 weeks. The second pregnancy I had the worst symptoms and that one ended in m/c at 8 weeks. So now I knoe every pregnancy is different. I am still really worried as my m/c last year. I have my 6 week scan booked in one weeks time, I cant wait to see my little pea IS DOING WELL. We must all keep positive. Easy said I know. xx

Heron23 · 03/06/2008 17:50

hi pinkali, i appreciate you sharing your story. actually, you are so lucky to have so little of these symptoms! honestly, they make pregnancy difficult! i will call EPAU and see what happens

hi supersteph, i know what you mean about really looking forward to seeing the scan pictures Bless...

we must keep positive, really difficult to shut down the "naggy voice"!

Heron23 · 03/06/2008 17:50

supersteph, pls let us know how you get on at your 6week scan

ohjoy/Heron23 - good luck today. I'll be back later this afternoon to update you with my news. I'm hoping we both have good news to share.

NoNickname · 06/06/2008 14:56

My results were inconclusive. There was a sac, in the uterus, measuring about 8mm. But she couldn't see a yolk sac or a foetal pole. She said the sac measured right for just under 5 weeks, whereas I think I am 6w+1.

So she suggested another scan in not less than two weeks. I'll have to see if my GP will refer me to our EPAU as I can't afford another £100 for a private one.

How did you get on ohjoy/Heron23?

jassara · 06/06/2008 15:56

Hi Nonickname it's horrible waiting

I have called my MW this morning because i haven't been feeling sick for the last 2 days, i am now 8 weeks. Because of my MC in jan i asked her to see if i could have an early scan, although i have no bleeding or pain. She has got me an appointment for tues morn. Give your EPAU a call and say you are really worried they should get you in. Good luck

Hi heron any news on your scan?

belgo · 06/06/2008 15:57

nonickname - it's going to be a long couple of weeks waiting, but it still could be good news. Have they taken blood to test your hormone levels?

heron22 · 06/06/2008 17:11

hi Nonickname, i am sorry the scan was inconclusive. Are you cycles regular, so that you are sure you are 6 weeks? most likely conception happened later than you think, so you're probably not 6 weeks yet?
Go to your GP and insist on a referral to the EPAU. fingers crossed for you

my scan was good, the dates were right. the sonographer found my little bean, heart beating at 110bpm. crown to rump measurement of 4.0mm. position inside the uterus. so, for 6+1 weeks, all the right size. there wasnt anything really to see, so it was all over in 5 minutes! she warned me that it is all early days yet, etc etc. i know all this, not thinking of anything negative cos if bad thing will happen, it will. for now, i will enjoy each day.

Jassara, try not to worry, pregnancy symptoms come and go. the other day, i thought my breasts were less sore. but today, they were really sore again. and sickness come and go as well.

fingers crossed for tues morning scan. pls let us know how you get on. keeping everything crossed for you and your bean

Good news ohjoy. My cycles are usually a regular 26 days, with ovulation at day 12/13.

This cycle, I ovulated on day 9, and that was also the only day that we bded near to ovulation. So I have taken that day as conception day, and worked out dates from there. That would put me at 6+1 today. However, if you take actual LMP, I would be 5+2.

I am trying to reassure myself that I am 5+2, minus perhaps another day that the egg took to conceive. At 5+1 I don't suppose you'd see very much, like today. It might be wishful thinking, it might not. I'll just have to wait a bit longer.

My dh had a GP's appt today, and he asked about my situation. Lovely GP said he would refer me to our EPAU no problem. So I think I will wait until my booking in appt with him on 17th June. If I can't wait that long, I'll just see him earlier for a referral.

heron22 · 06/06/2008 17:36

Hi Nonickname, you're lucky to have a lovely GP. Can you get an earlier appt to see him? Waiting till 17th June is a long time! but then i am not the most patient person

i would then to take LMP dates rather than ovulation because (i assume) the ov date was based on test sticks? these sticks are not always that spot on!

i would say the LMP dates would be more accurate. and remember that your DH's little swimmers can stay alive for up to 7 days! so you probably ovulated later than you thought and so your little bean is actually only 5+2.

fingers crossed for you

heron22 · 06/06/2008 17:38

also, i agree with Belgo, how about going to get your beta HCG measured? the values should be doubling every 2-3 days. this can be a reassuring test to do.

NoNickname · 06/06/2008 18:44

I'm basing my ov dates on Fertility Friend and also on my ovulation pains, which coincided. But I'm hoping that I ovulated later and that therefore my dates are out.

I don't know if I can wait until 17th June either, so will see about getting an appt for bloods also. But I HATE going to the docs, so not sure how things will pan out. Depends on how miserable I get with the waiting, I suppose.

jassara · 06/06/2008 18:57

Hi Heron so pleased for you that you saw your little beans HB bet you feel much more relaxed
I'm feeling a little sick again tonight but will be so scared to go on tues in case it's bad news.I have been reading old threads today like this one and there are so many women that worry about lack of symptoms, we are not alone!!
