what if i'm having a boy?

ok, am being very silly now.

but keep panicking about 'what if i'm having a boy this time'

i have 3 girls. i am one of three girls then have a younger brother and we were evil to him. honestly, we attacked hi mwith make up, played jokes on him, our friends used to tease him and it was madness.

its going to be crazy here with 4 kids anyway, i know that, but the thought of throwing a poor little defenceless boys into the mix of my crazy practical joker girls, well it scares me.

I think you're both having girls - but then i've got all girls and I do find it hard to imagine boys I did work really hard at that when expecting dc3 - just in case

I had 2 girls first and felt a bit like you when og with 3rd, not that I didn't want a boy, I just couldn't imagine it and worried what it would be like, as we were 3 girls and one boy growing up and my brother was more evil than the omen kid, but once I had ds I was so so so pleased to have my little boy ! He is the apple of all our eyes, a real little charmer, and now I am addicted to little boys, whereas I never used to notice them much when I was a mum of only girls ! Good luck with whatever you have !

Another here who keeps wondering if this one is a boy. . Poor thing would have 4 older sisters . Apparently the chances are about 10% though once you have had 3 of the same sex.

Ah, see, NL, I know I'm having a girl. I don't even for one second speculate on having a boy because I just know it's a girl.

I'm having my scan late. My dates were changed at my last appointment but the hospital wouldn't move my scan so I'll be about 22 weeks when I have it.

Should be developed enough to see all her organs, her spine and brain oh, and her bits.

Cuz it's a girl, of course.

See, I'm so used to calling her Muireann now Struan seems like it's a name that belongs to some other baby.

My Mum is one of 5 Children, Eldest Child, then 2 more Girls, then boy then a much younger Sister (a bit of a suprise).

They teased him terribly and he now has 2DDs of his own - no boy in sight I do feel sorry for him but as a consequece he has a really happy Marriage - his wife says he is very understanding, and can talk to women about anything without getting sqeemish He is my favourite Uncle - I have 2 more on the other side.

My boy is nearly 17, he is at a party in drag tonight. I have two dds 15 and 11. I am ancient. Dh is ancient. Every so often we admit that another wee boy would have been lovely. And each time I was certain I 'knew' what I would have and each time I was wrong. Good luck with all the babies. (Ds used to leak over the back of his nappy, they are incredible).

Ah, see, we started from the get go with the Scottish/Gaelic names.

So as to carry on the trend.

I love how my DH says 'Muireann'. Even how DD1's name is pronounced around here.

expat - I am the same in this pregnancy, look like a sack of shit, craved chocolate, acne same as last two and unless the sonographer missed a few bits it's definitely another girl.

I am quite glad it's a girl a boy wouldn't have a hope in hell with my other two.

So the odds are dizzy, expat, misdee and springchicken are all waiting to find out if they are having a boy after 2 or more girls, chances are 2 of you are

I will admit my ignorance (dh is Scottish but from Edinburgh so it barely counts ) and ask how you prounounce Muireann? It looks very pretty written down but haven't an earthly how you say it

My hair's going to be sent to Grangemouth for refining soon, SK, it's that greasy .

The sickness lasted even longer than with the first two girls, it just now went away and I am 19 weeks along.

The only difference is that I think my uterus has expanded a lot because this baby is sitting SO high it's not true. Even the midwives who examined me last week said she was high up there - I can feel her just under my navel most of the time.

If you go on the old wives tales about the way you carry a baby = sex then I'm on my third boy by now and Chinese gender selector said boy too.

yeah, the chinese thingy and the ring thing said DD2 was a boy.

but i knew she was a girl.
