Awaiting NIPT results

Good morning,

Just wondering if anyone got their NIPT results in less than a week? It will have been a week tomorrow and I'm just getting impatient now, even though they said 7-10 days. We paid private and I'm 14+3.

Anyone waiting for their results? We can wait together!

This is light hearted before anyone comes at me and just tells me to wait 😊

Thanks - I mean if I haven’t had a scan at all - I’m not planning to have one and won’t have had the nhs one. They say that the NIPT is only accurate for singleton pregnancies

Oh ok, so you won't know if it's only one baby or not as ypu don't want the scan.. I'm not sure then as they won't know if there's one or more. It does say on their website (Concepto) that they can only do the standard test if it's a twin pregnancy so maybe that's all you could have, just in case? When I had a query about having to take my child with me to the appointment I just called up the branch I was going to. Is that an option? How far along are you?

Thanks for your help @Chocolateeggsarebetterthannormalchocolate- I’m almost 6 weeks so just planning ahead. Partner doesn’t want a scan as if something is wrong it might make things harder if you know what I mean (which does make sense)

I got my results within 5 days through the nhs, had it done Monday, saw the results on the badger app on Friday and got the results via post the following Tuesday

@Alexandrineit's Concepto if that's what you mean? Nothing today, so hopefully tomorrow, thank you!

Window to the Womb uses concepto and I got my result exactly a week after at 5pm! I thought they were done for the day.

Chocolateeggsarebetterthannormalchocolate · 20/08/2025 21:52

Yeah I get you. As they couldn't do the combined test because baby wasn't playing ball on the day of my 12 week scan, I had the option to wait for the 20 week scan to check for Edwards and Patau, which was way too late for me.

Fingers crossed all is well for you ❤️

Don't think I can take an extra day.. I'm already checking my emails like a madman!

I see you replied yesterday, I’m hoping you’ve received a good email by now 🤞

@Chocolateeggsarebetterthannormalchocolate do you mind me asking how the results come back? Do they have numbers, like 1/1000 chance or is it just low risk? I am
considering having the WTTW absolute even though I didn’t with my first 2 but I’ve read the microdeletions but can provide false positives and don’t want to cause unnecessary panic ☹️

Chocolateeggsarebetterthannormalchocolate · 23/08/2025 11:14

@NSxit was in my junk folder that day! All good, and we now know the gender too 😊

@Saz909it just says 'low risk' (or could say 'high risk'). No numbers like 1/1000. The only number is the fetal fraction which is given as a percentage.
