Kicking!

Hey! I’m 26 weeks, 4 days pregnant and haven’t felt my baby kick yet? I get like little twitches in my tummy which makes me think that’s baby moving? I do have a plecenta at the front

Oops sorry. I read that wrong. I would still assume if you’ve been checked/ scanned in hospital all is ok. If the reason you’ve been in and out of hospital is due to baby presumably they’re keeping a good eye on you.

I had anterior placenta with both my daughters and didn’t feel them very much at all and certainly very little by 26 weeks. It’s really not a myth that anterior placenta can muffle an awful lot!

No no. Good luck with your pregnancy, I’m sure they’d have told you if anything was wrong on Sunday. Try not to worry.

I'm 26 weeks with my second and have an anterior placenta. Depending on the position of the baby I either get movements I can see or get tiny movements really low in my bikini line area that are very subtle and can easily be missed.
My placenta with my first was near the top on the left hand side and never felt any movements on my left hand side at all. Around this gestation I could have days where I couldn't feel much and I guessed that these were days when baby was more on the left.

I just get loads of twitching like loads! Just not kicks yet..

I think "kicks" is a bit of a misleading term. There's actually quite a narrow time frame when you get actual kicks. You should be looking for feeling them move. In the early days it's more twitchy then you get a window of kicks but then they get bigger and it's more like them just bumping into you as they wiggle
