Hi,

I’ve just found out I’m pregnant, and I am so happy - I’ve wanted this for a long time, but I’m actually freaking out a bit too and I’m not sure why. It’s like seeing the line makes it real. I’m not sure why I’m reacting this way. Did anyone else feel like this when they found out?

Because they leave no room for misinterpretation of the result, if there is any doubt.

Yes but what I’m saying is the result can be wrong. Whether it’s one with the digital display or not.

Three kids, all planned.

Freaked out thrice!

@Cheffymcchef with all due respect, all you have done is scare the OP since she has posted this thread, despite myself and other posters telling you to knock it off that is a clear positive.
Clear blue are KNOWN for clever Evaaps that are blue not positives that look like OPs
The OP has also stated you've caused her worry for no reason so knock it off.

Bugger off. All I said was sister had same BFP as op that didn’t Evap twice and they were false positives.

But evap lines are known for looking way after the timestamp, evaps are only imo faint lines, OP had a dye stealer Clearblue, highly unlikely it was a false positive.

You’re being very defensive when people are just baffled you’ve come into an already worried and scared woman’s pregnancy post and then made it worse telling her she might not even be pregnant.

I’m sorry your sister had evap lines on a clear lie, but millions of people use Clearblue and they’re just fine, some will have evaps, I remember with my first ever pregnancy I had horrible evaps on Frer’s.

However OP’s test is a strong positive. Unmistakable from an Evap.

as I said sisters was twice a dye stealer. I was just advising op to do another branded test or get bloods which she has

CrownPointSouth · 03/06/2025 17:11

@Cheffymcchef
I never said your sister had evaps, I know fuck all about your sister but what I do know is that you have derailed a thread and are preaching utter nonsense.
The majority of "false positives" ARE evaporation lines because they look convincing.
However, in OPs case her test was and IS clearly positive and she has done 2 further test ( one of which is a boots one) and you are STILL harping on!!

No, you and other poster derailed it by having a go. I was simply saying OP should do another branded test as ckearblue aren’t always reliable and show BFP’s when that isn’t the case. One of sisters examples is here

This isn’t an evap, or a faint positive.

has your sister been told about chemical pregnancies?

has your sister been told about chemical pregnancies?

Yes. Everything was checked (she saw two doctors, one NHS one spire) and all other tests by other brands showed negative. She was never pregnant. The doctor and other places online said there’s been a surge of false BFP’s with clear blues tests, both the regular and digital. First response, cheapo Poundland ones all said negative.

Cheffymcchef · 03/06/2025 18:34

Blood tests etc were also done to check hug
