Hi I'm currently 5weeks and 4 days. I've been prescribed enoxaparin / blood thinners alongside 75mg of aspirin for suspected blood clotting issues. I've had recurrent miscarriage in the past.

Does anyone have any success stories using it after recurrent miscarriage?

I had my scan, at 6w1d, couldn’t do it any later as I was going away, no heart beat seen but everything else looks fine I was told. Saw a fetal pole and it’s measuring as it should. I come back when I’m roughy 8 weeks and will have another scan then

Are you still on blood thinners?

I'm also on clexane 40mg, twice daily cyclogest pessaries, and 75mg aspirin.

This is my 8th pregnancy with no surviving babies. 2 biochemical losses and 5 clinical between 7-9 weeks. The recurrent miscarriage clinic has let me down time and time again. I made the decision to investigate privately in December and while we didn't find specific answers through blood work or scans, the doctor did identify a potential blood clotting concern. I shared these results with the clinic in December, got a call back in March with them basically saying when they did their tests everything was normal and the results of my private test did not match with how they would interpret results. They agreed to retest my blood using their tests... Still waiting on that appointment to come through, though I did get a copy of the dictated March phone conversation earlier this month. (Insert eye roll here)

So when I found out I was pregnant 2 weeks ago (I'm 5w6d today), I reached out to the private doctor to write me a prescription as she let me know when I saw her in December this was something she would do based on my history and the results of my blood work. Consultation with her was £120, prescription note was £20. Filling the prescription for 8 weeks of pessaries and 8 weeks of clexane was £408. I have also booked a scan for this Wednesday (I'll be 6w2d) with the same private doctors clinic as the NHS will not scan me until 3 weeks from positive pregnancy test. Confirming my pregnancy is in the right place and developing is very important when taking progesterone so I didn't feel waiting the extra week was something I should do.

I'm sharing all the financial details for anyone that finds their care with the NHS to be beyond lacking so you have an idea of the financial burden of going private. One of those I can't really afford to do this, but I can't afford not to situations.

I'll let you know how my scan goes Wednesday.

Wednesday scan went really well. Measuring 6w, good heartbeat, everything in the right place.

Just back from holiday and had my 8 week scan yesterday. Baby measuring right on track and has a strong heart beat!

this was a private scan by my gynaecologist. I have been offered by nhs scan but not until 13 weeks. Even with my history as I had already had confirmation the pregnancy was in the right place at the 5 week scan

So happy to be hearing this news. I like hearing how people are going especially as the enoxaparin and aspirin was so new for me. May things continue to go well for you 🙏🏾🙏🏾
