We've been trying for over a year. I am afraid this might be a false positive(Tesco test) , but just wanted to know your opinions before I run to the shop for more tests.

Ah I'm so very sorry to hear that sad news. It's heartbreaking to have your hopes and dreams dashed. Mind yourself. Xx

PS My friend's daughter was conceived immediately after a miscarriage. She just didn't want to wait (and thank God she didn't because then it wouldn't have been her lovely daughter.)

If you’re still in that much pain please please demand to be scanned in EPU. Being advised to test “every 5-7 days” is ridiculous if ectopic pregnancy is potentially on the cards…

I'm so sorry to read your update @Zuz.

I'm also surprised by your doctor's advice. There's no reason why you can't start trying again immediately.

Also, the advice to test every 5 - 7 days in case of an ectopic is (frankly) nonsense.

And finally, if you're still in pain despite having passed a large clot, you need to be scanned ASAP. If this is the case, please attend A & E.

I stayed at home today as I was in agony last night. I have an appointment for tomorrow morning at the EPU. Few massive clots came out and the bleeding is very strong. I'll be glad to have the ultrasound done just for the peace of mind. Thank you again everybody x

@Zuz you really need to go to A & E if you're in agony while having a miscarriage. They're generally uncomfortable, but not agonising.

I've had several BTW. I'm concerned that you may have an ectopic pregnancy.

Please get urgent medical attention.

Did you get your ultrasound @Zuz?

How are you feeling today?

Zuz · 04/06/2025 18:17

Went to the appointment and they did the test there from my urine sample. It was negative this time. So they said that in that case they would not even do the ultrasound, chatted with me for a bit, got a little teddy bear and candle from them which made me cry. So that's it. Pain is back to normal period cramps today. Will attempt to get pregnant again in a month or so. Thank you lovely people for the support x
