Wondering if I'm in labour only 36 weeks

Hello. Seeing as I've been googling, I thought I'd ask here if anyone has had similar. I'm 36 weeks pregnant today.

For the past couple of days I've had cramps, back ache and strong braxton hicks. Now today for the past 45 mins I devolved a stitch like pain in the side of my stomach and its hard to stand up. It's now moving down and now like a constant period cramp. Before this happened I also felt very hot and a little disoriented. I'm now running a bath and plan to call midwife if it doesnt resolve. As I said it's constantly there. It's my second but was induced with my first and never had this type of pain.

Another update! I definitely did not sleep well on the ward. And had contractions during the night until about 8 am where it all died down so I can go home! I'm guessing it's a waiting game now! I've not been given advice to take it easy or anything (although I will) and the doctor sounded like the pre labour test wasn't all that accurate. Or maybe because I am close to term? Anyway I am happy to be going home!

Good luck @Crosswind22. As a word of reassurance, DS who was born at 36.3 was 7lb 5oz and perfectly healthy. Interestingly I had Braxton Hicks from about 16 weeks with him. I didn't have one with dd who was eventually evicted at 41.5!

@RosesAndHellebores with my 1st, never had so much as a twinge but with this pregnancy I've had Braxton Hicks from about 20 weeks. Never painful though!

It's reasurring to hear stories of babies at 36 weeks and being a good weight etc. I myself was born at 36 weeks and all was well.
