We are ttc baby no.1 and for the past week I have had all sorts of strange symptoms (nausea, fatigue, random crying outbursts!!). Very light cramping yesterday and a short burst of light pink spotting.

My period is now a day late so took a test this morning… this was the result. Could this be positive? I am apprehensive now as I did a digital test this afternoon which said ‘not pregnant’ but it wasn’t first urine of the day and I’ve heard digital tests are less sensitive…

That last one looks a good strong positive, congratulations!

There is no point testing every day (or multiple times each day), you will see a much better increase waiting 48 hours in between each test. I know it's hard to wait but you're just throwing money away.

Congrats!

Yay glad you’ve got the digital pregnant too!!

Xxmickixx · 23/02/2025 18:04

How many weeks does that make me?

OP posts:
KenIsAnAccessory · 23/02/2025 18:06

1-2 weeks since conception, so approx 3-4 weeks pregnant (as you're 'pregnant' for 2 weeks before conception- odd, I know).

Xxmickixx · 24/02/2025 17:37

I'm having bad on and off cramps in my lower abdomen but they don't last long

@Xxmickixx I think we are on very similar timelines based on your previous posts and I have also been experiencing some brown spotting. Hopefully it reassures you to know that I phoned 111 to get some advice and the doctor told me that it is likely to just be decidual bleeding as it’s still early on. It’s quite common at this stage!

I would recommend getting some advice based on your own symptoms though, as everyone is different and they may want to see you and check things are okay x

Xxmickixx · 01/03/2025 16:15

This is what the discharge looks like

Hey there. Sorry to jump in. Likes been mentioned, with my DS I had cramping and a very similar discharge around this time. I was told it's due to cervix changing which can cause irritation and move any residual blood. As suggested though, to ease your mind, I'd speak to the GP/midwife etc 🙏

Xxmickixx · 01/03/2025 19:06

Would this be implantation bleeding???

Does the weeks on the digital test go up every week or how does that work? I've done a digital again but it's the same as I was last Sunday x

OP posts:
jelliebean9 · 01/03/2025 19:10

Hmm, this looks definitely more pink now rather than brown I could be wrong, but I thought it would be impossible to have a positive pregnancy test previously if this was implantation bleeding. I'm not sure on how the weeks indicators work to be honest. And I know line progression on normal tests is a big thing on here. But if it'd still showing as positive snd the bleeding doesn't progress to thick fresh red blood, I'd say there is still a good shot all is ok. Can you get into the GP on Monday? Or phone 111 and ask for advice?

Xxmickixx · 01/03/2025 19:30

You the lines on tests are progressing and digital saying pregnant I'll see if it carrries on till tomorrow and give my go a call on Monday :(

I haven't read the whole thread but if you've got cramping on one side and bleeding I think you need to be seen tonight, to rule out ectopic pregnancy, hope you are okay op xx

Caaarrrl · 01/03/2025 19:35

Maybe best to get it checked out tonight as PP says. Good luck.

Beeches24 · 01/03/2025 19:57

There's lots of reasons for bleeding in early pregnancy so you can't be certain. There's hormonal bleeding and cervical irritation as possibilities. Fingers crossed.

Don't pay too much attention to weeks on digital . There's been loads who have tests that don't go beyond 2-3 yet have successful pregnancy

ThursdaysMonkey · 01/03/2025 19:59

Xxmickixx · 01/03/2025 19:06

Would this be implantation bleeding???

If you are testing positive on a test then implantation has already occurred. Therefore this wouldn't be implantation bleeding.

Xxmickixx · 01/03/2025 20:01

Then I don't know what this bleeding might be
