Hello mumsnet 🙂
So as the title suggests, i'm looking for some advice or peoples experiences. Not really sure what i'm hoping to gain but think it will help hearing from other people.
I had a miscarriage on the 22nd of december, unfortunately incomplete so had surgical management on the 6th of december for RPOC.
I didnt have much bleeding after the surgical management, only spotting for a day or 2.
I actually got my first negative test on the 2nd of december and then did another on the 13th just to make sure which was also negative.
Being that i had negative tests and no continued bleeding after the op, my partner and I resumed having sex as normal. (Please dont judge)I didnt track ovulation or anything but now coming up to nearly 4 weeks post op, i've been experiencing some pregnancy symptoms ( swollen boobs, metalic taste, headache ect) i had all of these when i fell pregnant initially but just wondering if it could be likely that i'm pregnant? Or just wishful thinking and its actually my period tryinf to say hello. My period previously was bang on 28 days and fairly light with no real period like side effects, most i'd get is bloating and very mild cramps.
Wondering if anyone else has experienced this within a similar time frame and turned out to be pregnant? I know everyone is different but just hoping for some nice stories i guess. So difficult to know when the right time to test is as i have no datres to really go off and dont want to disspoint myself. The MC was my first pregnancy and honestly broke my heart.
Sorry for the long post and appreciate anyone's response. Xoxo thanks

I am sorry for your loss.
I had a MMC at 12 weeks with surgical intervention and then got pg 1 week later. My period hadn't returned and I was effectively pg for a year!
I was worried but my GP was fantastic and I recieved great care from her and the practice MW
I have to be honest that psychologically it was VERY hard and if I had a choice I probably wouldn't have done it like that BUT DD is 20 now and is awesome. I also have a 16 year old who I conceived easily
Best of Luck x

It did but my Mum was very very cross with DH!!!!!
She also thought I was having a psychotic break and had forgotten my MC when I told her I was pg

I’m so sorry for your loss OP 💐 no need for judgment at all!! After both my miscarriages I was told by the midwife and consultant that it’s fine to try again straight away they only advise to wait for the purpose of dating or if you feel it would help you mentally to wait. I got pregnant after my spontaneous miscarriage without a period in between and had my daughter (after my missed miscarriage it took me a couple months to get pregnant but we tried straight away, now 23 weeks).

I wish you all the luck. TTC and pregnancy after a loss is so difficult, no matter whether you get pregnant straight away or it takes a while longer, so look after yourself ❤️
