Hi everyone,

My beautiful baby boy just turned 8 months old last week. We had been talking for a while about wanting another in close age, but had decided that this would be a little toooo soon. However, life sometimes has other plans and last night I got the BFP.

DH and I both work from home with our own business, and our son is in nursery three afternoons a week (looking to enrol him for longer in September). Just looking for some tips/reassurance that this is doable and we aren’t completely crazy?

also, I had a pretty horrific 3rd degree tear last time after a B2B birth with further grazing that is still reasonably sensitive. Am I more likely to tear again the second time?

Congratulations!
I got pregnant with my 2nd when DS1 was 9 months old.

I had an induction with DS1 with a tear and DS2 was born naturally on his due date with no tearing, just grazes.

Congratulations! I have a 20 month age gap, I had an episiotomy first time around which was uncomfortable for months second time baby came out first push and a 2nd degree tear that I barely noticed, I was going for walks with the baby in the carrier at two days postpartum.
Our bodies are magical, once we have given birth once it really knows what to do second time around.
