I tested with a very faint positive last Tuesday and used a clear blue digital that said 1-2 weeks.

My EDD is 30th September. (LMP was 24/12/24. I should be 5 weeks 1 day (I ovulated on the 9th/10th.

I've been testing daily since (bad habits, I know!) and although they are getting darker to an extent, there are no dye stealers.

I just took another clear blue digital and it still said 1-2 weeks. I have a feeling this is likely to be chemical.

I don't even know what to do in this situation and I know my mental health might likely suffer- I already have complex mental health conditions and will be under Perinatal mental health.

The anxiety is unreal and I'm having keep having vivid dreams.

I have no real symptoms apart from sometimes needing to urinate more and my boobs are only slightly tender.

I find the whole thing silly. Some women will only take one test and accept the result but we’ve seemed to have developed this thinking that we need test progression to match others.

I don't know what's going to happen with your pregnancy OP but I do know that this repeat testing is awful for your mental health.

I'm in the 'test once after missing a period' camp

Years ago before all of this, you had to miss 2 consecutive periods before the doctor would confirm a pregnancy.

Good luck to you.

I agree that testing once only makes sense but for those of us who have repeated Chemicals it is preferable to know and be as mentally prepared as one can be for when the bleeding starts,

Why is MN so shitty to other women?

op how about you get some cheap strip tests from Amazon and do one in the morning every day. I did this in the first week or so and kept the tests and could compare them and the line did get darker

The OP has said they have some complex mental health issues already and that they feel having a chemical could be detrimental to their mental health.

It's not always preferable to know about a CP. I was TTC for 4 years and did not want to know.

That is a very fair point sel2223. I get you there. X

Stop testing - it will cause more anxiety.

Echomama · 30/01/2025 06:16

Quit testing so much and worrying about lime progression. (Easier said than done)
Lines can stay even after the worst has happened. It means diddlysquat other than you have hcg in your system.
Start accepting there is a line there and you cannot control the outcome, if you are getting anxious to the point of deteriorated mental health, go for a private scan. X
